 Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Ultimate Fighting Championship, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Cassiopeia talk 01:18, 12 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Ultimate Fighting Championship

edit

Hello Rlovm, Thank you very much for adding additional information on the above page with support of source. I have removed some of the info as the source is considred not independent/reliable. Sources such as from major newspapers, books and in this case some of the mma news media can be used (such as mma junkie, cageside press, mma, fighting and many more). Independent sources are sources that not connected/affiliated with the subject (the article) which includes the official website/their social media/marketing firm/coches and press releases and etc. (Note for UFC - ESPN can not be used for any ESPN or its fighters pages as ESPN has 7 year contract with UFC and that make ESPN not independent). I believe the TKO holding info will be published soon once the deal is official sign, seal and deliver and the info can be found in the newspapers or mma media. Once it can be obtained, you are welcome to add the info in. (BTW, a short content needs to be added in the body text for any thing that is in the lead section (intro). Once again, thank you for your contribution and pls pop to my talk page if you have any questions/need assistance for I am here to help. Stay safe and best. Zuffa

edit

Hey, Zuffa is the UFC, as well as assets like Strikeforce, Pride, fight libraries, etc... TKO wouldn't just merge with UFC, they merged with all the MMA assets that are owned with UFC. Nswix (talk) 14:51, 12 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

WWE

edit

Hello, please don't removed sourced (and well documented) information. The source which is the SEC filing (and in fact every other source including press release, etc.) acknowledges Endeavour as the majority owner of TKO Group, the later of which WWE is a wholly owned subsidiary. In addition, Endeavour is a 51% owner of TKO, not 100%, so even if Endeavour did directly own WWE, to present it as an outright owner wouldn't be factual. Thanks, Tærkast (Discuss) 20:55, 12 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

UFC - source

edit

Rlovm, We dont use press release as source in Wikipedia as it is considered not independent. We use independent, reliable source. We also can use source indicates the merger would take place in the future to indicates the merger has taken place but we use independent, reliable source that stated the merger is official signed. (your edit and citation on UFC page which I have updated with other source - see HERE). Cassiopeia talk 00:49, 13 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Copying/moving content within Wikipedia requires attribution

edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Zuffa into Ultimate Fighting Championship. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 23:20, 2 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

October 2023

edit

As you have been lightly warned on this matter on your edits to the WWE and UFC articles above, this is a strict warning regarding your WP:Disruptive Editing on History of WWE article. On January 6, 2023 Vince returned, that was not the start of TKO. On April 3, 2023 the Endeavor deal was announced, but that did not start TKO, TKO officially begun on September 12, 2023 and WWE DID NOT MERGE WITH UFC they are seperate divisions of Endeavor, both operating together as TKO Group Holdings and that article dealls the WWE-UFC relationship. We senior editors work really hard to give Reliable, Wp:Notable and accurate information on Wikipedia. It is not your fantasy edit website that you can put whatever you like based on personal views and WP:OR. You newbie editors either need to learn Wikipedia guidlines or be blocked. Take this as a stern warn no 1. If you disagree seek consensus from other editors on talk page. After 2 more warnings you may be reported and blocked from editing. Please comply with Wikipedia policies and always follow WP:RS and proper Wikipedia guidelines and keep in mind Wikipedia is no place for personal views, edits are based on reliable sources and consensus of editors, so please refrain from editing based on personal views. If you keep engaging in this WP:CIR as with this blocked user User:Mishi dar. TKO's first show was the September 12, 2023 episode of NXT and that was the day TKO officially formed, and all Reliable Sources agree, you are no one to put past events on TKO section based on personal views. Sorry for the aggressive tone but you have been warned in the past and have no right to ruin our hard work! Dilbaggg (talk) 19:14, 30 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

You're removing well-sourced material with no explanation or edit summaries. Your utter lack of communication is not collaborative. Continuing these edits with no discussion will be treated as vandalism and you will be blocked. Either start a talk page discussion or just knock it off. oknazevad (talk) 03:13, 11 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
