Robert Carroll
Tennessee Williams
editPlease review Wikipedia's policies on Conflict of Interest WP:COI before adding material to Tennessee Williams. Adding material about oneself to an article raises the question especially since this is the only article that you have edited. I have restored the article to remove the unsourced material. If you choose please discuss on the Talk page, continuing to add this material without consulting is close to edit warring. Pjefts (talk) 22:19, 20 September 2016 (UTC)

Robert Carroll, you are invited to the Teahouse!
editHi Robert Carroll! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. We hope to see you there!

Hi Robert, it seems like your edits were removed as you didn't provide a reliable source to backup your claims, and also your name is exactly same as the name your inserted to the article, which triggered a conflict of interest. Regarding the Teahouse archives, by looking at your edit history, you have not made any edits to the Teahouse page. Meaning: you probably have not asked any questions there through this account. Are you sure you were logged in when asking the question? Anyhow, Teahouse archives can be found at Wikipedia:Teahouse/Questions/Archive Index, but it's easier if you search your question on the Teahouse question page; there is search box to the right. If you can't find the specific question, feel free to ask it again. Cheers! -- ChamithN (talk)
- Wikipedia doesn't encourage editing using multiple accounts without a good reason. You were notified about the conflict of interest as your name is similar to the name you added with these edits. Conflict of interest is not explicitly about paid editing, but also about particulars like person's roles and relationships, and the tendency to bias that we assume exists when roles conflict. In your email you said there are several sources to back up your claims that are already cited in the article. I might be able to check them and recite them if you could provide me the footnote numbers of those specific sources. You further said that you have enough sources to verify that you two lived together for while; it'd be great if you could provide links to those source here (even links to Kindle books would be fine) as I can consider citing them for you in the article. Please note that you can do all these things yourself if you want to, but I'm just trying to help you out as you said you find Wikipedia's interface confusing. Also, please keep in mind that I did not revert your edits, Pjefts did. So, you might want to send them a copy of the e-mail you sent me. Best, -- ChamithN (talk) 12:56, 10 October 2016 (UTC)
- Sorry for my late reply. Did you notify Pjefts about the sources you mentioned above and in the e-mail you sent me? Because it's better if you settle your disputes with him first, if there are any. -- ChamithN (talk) 18:45, 13 October 2016 (UTC)

editHello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but it appears you have written or added to an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you.
