I do not understand the comment, "It is a very short article providing little or no context". It is *not* a short article. Please specify what context is required, and I will add it. I wrote this article and believe it is well thought out and contains a lot of detailed information about testing, a topic that is currently not well covered by Wikipedia. I want to improve this. - I would suggest that this article should be merged with Software testing, and the articles in the "See also" links from that article. This article is poorly named as it is specifically about Software Test techniques (software is not the only thing that is tested), and is really not required given the other articles that already exist. If these other articles lack detail, perhaps it would be better to add detail to them rather than create another article. --Michig 10:09, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
- Agree that the article would be better named "Software Test Techniques". I will move it.
Do not agree that it should be merged with Software testing. This is more specific testing information. If this is added to the original article, the original will become too big (and someone will probably suggest splitting it!). Robinson weijman 11:10, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
- The original article was too big and has been split already. There are a whole set of articles on Software testing linked to from the main article, and sub-articles, for example, Equivalence partitioning, Boundary value analysis, and State transition table already have their own articles which cover those topics in greater depth than in this one, so I see no point in duplicating the information here. --Michig 10:43, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I agree that the information should not be in two places. The original article, Software Test Techniques does not link to the specific test techniques that you list. Therefore I suggest:
- Keep this article because it is a very concise overview with all information on one page.
- But include links on article to the more detailed test technique pages.
- Update Software testing to include links to all the test technique pages. Robinson weijman 11:10, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

keep this article
editI am new to WIkipedia and this is the first tech article I came via various links on the subject of Code Covergage. I found it very informative, short and valuable. Isee no point of deleting this article - but I admit I am not that familiar with the rules. Just like the article. Igoryosha 21:07, 24 January 2007 (UTC)Igor Okunev
