Changes to White clipper
editI have modified White Clipper so that it is more accurate in general terms. I am unconvinced that over modulating the video carrier will result in audio aliasing as you suggest re: 50 and 15625 Hz signals as the interleaving of the amplitude modulated signal with the audio FM signal tends to prevent this - see PAL. However on the original NTSC colour system using 30 frame 60 field timing there was a situation where strong colours caused audio interference and the timing was changed to 59.94Hz to avoid this, as a result. Digital systems are less forgiving than analogue ones although there is an agreed Gamut of values which can be exceeded by a small amount in certain cases (up to the absolute maximum numerical value)Robjlocke (talk) 21:43, 19 December 2011 (UTC)
