Adminship

edit

Hi Stifle. Um ... I'm wondering what you have to do to become an Admin. Do you have to have a certain number of edit counts or something? --Robot569 18:44, 4 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

To become an admin, you need to post a request for adminship or have someone else recommend you. Then over the coming seven days, Wikipedians will form a consensus on whether or not you should be made an administrator.
I can tell you that right now, you would have no chance of becoming an administrator, because while you have been around for four months, you have only made 121 edits. Most Wikipedians will look for an edit history of 2000-3000 over a few months, including edits in many namespaces. Read more, including the standards of other users, at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Standards.
Finally, you need to use edit summaries more often.
I hope this hasn't been too disconcerting for you and that you continue to edit and enjoy being a Wikipedian! Stifle 13:04, 5 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for answering my question. How did you know I'd only been around for four months? Robot569 18:21, 5 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced template

edit

In re: this edit, is there a compelling reason to add this template to an article that already has the Template:Citation needed template showing which assertions need referencing? Jkelly 18:41, 14 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sorry. I didn't know there was a citation need template so I just put the unreferenced template at the beginning. Robot569 18:28, 16 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Re:Backtothefuture

edit

Yes, it is a very good reason to delete an article: see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Backtothefuture. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion if you want to know more about this process. enochlau (talk) 00:01, 24 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Uncyclopedia

edit

Yes, I think it is very funny. I personally like it better than Wikipedia (because it cracks me up), but Wikipedia has its place as a tome of knowledge. I hope you enjoy editing. If you ever make an article, and it comes up for deletion, I'll probably be able to help find some middle ground. Crazyswordsman 19:55, 3 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Send the Pain Below

edit

Was the Send the Pain Below article deleted or moved to Wikisource? Robot569 01:50, 14 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Send the pain below was deleted as a copyright violation and inappropriate Wikipedia content by Mailer diablo. Please contact him to discuss where to go from here. Stifle (talk) 09:38, 14 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Your question on the science reference desk.

edit

Hello. When you post a question on the science reference desk, the answers will be posted there. You just have to go back and look what people have put. Since you didn't know that, though, I thought I'd let you know that someone's responded. You can make it easy to check back for answers by putting a link on your user page - here's one: WP:RD/S#Volcano erupting in Asia --Hughcharlesparker 17:09, 14 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hiiii!

edit

Hiii! How are you doing? I am doing fine. I think the wikipedia is very interesting. It is really cool how you can talk to people on wikipedia. Well, write me back as soon as you get this message. Byyyyyyyyyyyyye! Leelyoko 16:21, 23 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, it's a cool thing. I've talked to people like Stifle, TearAwayTheFunerealDress, Andyz, who posted a RFA, and a lot of other people. Robot569 16:28, 23 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
