Speedy deletion nomination of Rebeca Minguela
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Rebeca Minguela requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. reddogsix (talk) 01:27, 26 May 2015 (UTC)
Sockpuppet investigation
editHi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/RogueKhan, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Question to Admin
editThis request for help from administrators has been answered. If you need more help or have additional questions, please reapply the {{admin help}} template, or contact the responding user(s) directly on their own user talk page. |
I'm new as Wikipedia editor. I created my first article on Rebeca Minguela. The article on Rebeca Minguela has been nominated for deletion. I have 4 questions:
1) Could you please advise if the article is relevant or not, advise on the way to improve it if necessary, or otherwise delete it? I think the person is notable and I provided references for it (not just independent publications about the person in the article, but also references that back up what is stated in it: i.e. links to the companies describing the teams of which she is part of, linked to the agendas of the conferences that she attended as speaker, etc). I also wanted to know if those references are needed or are considered irrelevant.
2) Can I delete the article already if it was created by myself?
3) Would you advise to remove from the article info, description and references about Blink Booking (the company that the person started)?
4) How can avoid that a user (more specifically, reddogsix) stop "sabotaging" the articles I write? Just a few minutes after having posted my article (he/she couldn't even have time to read it or check references), he/she nominated my article for speed deletion. Then he/she accused me of "sockpuppet" (I was new and didn't even know what it was, but apparently he/she accused me of duplicated accounts with a user called Goonyz or something like that, which is completely FALSE - please check it), then he/she deleted comments I posted in his/her Talk page, and he/she keeps discussing for deletion of my article with no specific arguments and without even reading the references that I post, which is very frustrating. How could I report that?
- Since no one has responded to your request, let me see if can help you. Please note I am not an Admin.
- 1) I will not comment on the adequacy of the article to establish notability. There has been much written at the AfD already - I would however, pay attention to the comments made by those advocating "delete." They are trying to help you by giving you examples of where the article lacks support. Also bombarding an article with irrelevant "references" is not going to provide adequate support, think substance over quantity.
- 2) It is sometimes possible to request your article be deleted; however, in this case where there have been numerous edits by other editors and the article in now in an AfD, this would probably not be possible.
- 3) I would not remove the discussion about the company that was started by the individual; however, I would make sure the information was supported by adequate sourcing.
- 4) I understand how you might feel you are being picked on, but you are not. There has been nothing done by myself or anyone else to sabotage your article. Every article in Wikipedia needs to meet certain criteria, I only questioned the assertion that this article meets the criteria for inclusion. In the AfD there have been numerous references to Wikipedia guidelines for inclusion, (primary, secondary, verifiable, and independent to mention a few) I'll be be upfront in asking, have you read any of them them? If you had you might see why the article has been nominated for deletion. I refer specifically to the attempts by myself and others to get you to see the difference and between primary and secondary sourcing and the need to provide adequate non-trivial secondary sources.
- You refer to my being unable to read or check references in the article before nominating for deletion. The article was up for about 12 minutes before I took any action - more than adequate time to assess the article. I did accuse you as a sockpuppet master; however, given the fact that a new editor was created just to remove the CSD - and this editor has not contributed any other edits, this is reasonable assumption. I suggest you read WP:DUCK.
- You have accused me of deleting comments you posted on my talk page. First of all, I am generally allowed to control the content of my talk page; secondly, you are either mistaken or are making up things - if you go to my talk history, you will see that I have not done this. You have been the only one to have removed comments specifically concerning Rebeca Minguela.
- You state that, "he/she keeps discussing for deletion of my article with no specific arguments and without even reading the references that I post." Well, part of this is correct. I keep discussing the deletion in response to your updated comments in the AfD. I, and other editors, have tried to help you understand the issues - this includes commenting on the "references" you provide. I am not sure why you state I am not reading the "references" you refer to, I have been specific in my comments about their issues.
- You have asked how you might report my actions - you can do so at Wikipedia:ANI; however, I would make sure you fully understand what is contrary to Wikipedia practices and what is not before doing so.
- I understand your frustration, but I would review the comments in the AfD and note that comments of other editors mirror my comments. My best to you. reddogsix (talk) 16:19, 31 May 2015 (UTC)

- Thanks reddogsix for your comments and responses. I appreciate. Is there any chance that the article is "improved" instead of deleted? There should be a resolution in less than 12 hours (7 days after nomination for deletion), right? Thanks again RogueKhan (talk) 16:14, 1 June 2015 (UTC)

I need help from a Wikipedia Administrator. I wrote an article on Rebeca Minguela a while ago and it was nominated fro deletion. I would like to know when that will be resolved. Thanks RogueKhan (talk) 15:45, 2 June 2015 (UTC)
- You can read more about WP:AFD. Generally speaking most AFDs run 7 days but can be extended if more time is needed to form a consensus. Separately, {{admin help}} should only be reserved for help requests that require the need of an administrative function to be performed. i.e. deleting a page, WP:PP, etc. Mkdwtalk 03:21, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for your answer Mkdw. It has been more than 7 days since the article on Rebeca Minguela was nominated for deletion, and it doesn't seem like there is consensus. Is there anyway the article can be improved to keep it (remove certain parts, add other references, etc - many references are from newspapers in Spain, so I'm not sure if those are understood from some users posting comments...), or otherwise just remove it if wikipedia admin doesn't think it's relevant enough? Thanks again RogueKhan (talk) 04:34, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
- Right now the article is in the queue for an administrator to review the current discussion and determine if there is a policy based consensus for the article to be deleted, or if there needs to be an extension granted for further consensus to be built. If the discussion is relisted, then you will have an opportunity to improve the article. If not, the article will be deleted. Your best bet would be to wait to see what happens in the next day or two. Also, you have other alternatives open to you. You may want to explore WP:REFUND whereby if the article is deleted, you can request it be moved to a draft space for you to further work on it. Once it meets standards, it will be moved into the article space. You may want to request this option at the AFD as any closer would likely deem that a suitable solution to the discussion. Mkdwtalk 05:00, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks! I'll wait a couple of days then. RogueKhan (talk) 05:05, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
- You need to wait until the AFD has concluded before applying for REFUND or pursuing any other means. Mkdwtalk 19:31, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for your answer Mkdw. I thought it was concluded already. When and how will it be concluded? Thanks again RogueKhan (talk) 19:40, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
- Keep checking Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rebeca Minguela. It will either say "relisted" (in a very obvious way) at the bottom of the discussion, or it will be closed in an even more obvious way (literally the whole page changes colour). I am traveling for the next three weeks so I may not be able to respond in a timely manner. Mkdwtalk 06:55, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- You can find it at Draft:Rebeca Minguela. Mkdwtalk 09:12, 6 June 2015 (UTC)
