Review comments on Espiritu Santo Bay page

edit
  • New sections including ecology and human use add nice structure to this page
  • The photos and figure are good additions to this article, however they could be improved with more detailed captions. For example, it is unclear what the Texas's ecoregions figure links to in the text.
  • The third sentence in the ecology section should be supported with a reference or additional context to maintain formal tone and a neutral point of view ("incredibly important to uniqueness of...")
  • Typo in the last sentence of ecology section ("provides home too many" should be "provides home to many")
  • The grammar of second sentence of the human use section could be improved for clarity - "that distinguish it from another" type of what?
  • The second sentence of the human use section should be supported with a reference or additional context to maintain neutral point of view ("great benefits to local people")
  • The information about oyster harvesting at the end of the human use section appears to be out of date (press release from 2012). The Texas DSHS website (https://www.dshs.texas.gov/seafood/shellfish-harvest-maps.aspx) shows many areas being open so I'm not sure it's accurate to say that all other coastal waters remain closed. This section on the 2012 red tide should be revised for accuracy.
  • Consider linking to a page about red tides or harmful algal blooms
  • Consider linking to where information about the current status of the oyster fishery can be found or giving information about which harvest area the bay is in
