Thanks for your plea on the deletion discussion. In general editing on only one article is not a good idea. If you edit on a variety of articles you will get the sense of what is a good article, and what will be kept, and what won't be. You may want to have a look at WP:SPA. The further information section will be helpful to you also.

The key is whether a topic is notable - see WP:N - not whether the subject is active or important.
