Zerlina Maxwell
editHello Rosasanti, I noticed you were trying to publish your draft on Zerlina Maxwell, but we already have an article on her under the title Zerlina Maxwell that you can improve. – Thjarkur (talk) 20:48, 29 October 2019 (UTC)
Hi, I am not sure what exactly I am doing, but I did edit Zerlina Maxwell article. I was wondering how I can have someone from Wikipedia to edit?
Notes
editHi! Here are my notes:
- I've added the live content to your draft so we can get an idea of what it would look like when you move your work live.
- In your lead you pointed out that Maxwell is female. This is something that is generally unnecessary unless there is something about this that is noteworthy, like if she is openly transgender, genderqueer, or so on. From what I can see, she was born/assigned female at birth so there's no need to specify her gender identity.
- You have a birthdate listed for Maxwell, however there's no source to back this up. I did a search to see if I could find anything and it looks like the only places that cite this are unreliable sites like "famouspeoplenow" and the like. What we need is something like a primary source like a page on her website that mentions her date of birth or something like a mention in a newspaper or other reliable source about her birthday. Something like the Marathi.TV source isn't really reliable since there's no information about how they gather their data, their factchecking process, or if they have any sort of editorial oversight. Be extremely wary of any site that lists just biographical data like that, as they have a really strong tendency to have incorrect information.
- On this note, be very, very careful about sourcing. Sites like the one listed above are typically unreliable unless they're widely cited as an authoritative source.
Overall I think that with the tweaks I've made and the formatting, you can move the work back over whenever you like. I can also help you move it over, if you like. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:41, 30 October 2019 (UTC)
Hi Shalor,
I really appreciate your feedback and I find them really helpful. If you don't mind, would you help me move the information into live. I'm not sure how you did the education section and so forth. It look really good overall. Also, I was looking through the edits and there is a reference that is missing: https://www.plannedparenthood.org/about-us/newsroom/campaigns/ppfa-media-excellence-awards. This website is where I was able to see where Maxwell was selected as the winner for the Maggie Award.
Thank you for your help, Rosasanti
