Definition of minor edits
editI notice that most of your edits are marked as minor, but I think you need to read Help:Minor edit as I do not believe that many of your edits satisfy that definition. - David Biddulph (talk) 12:56, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
Oh great, thank you so much for helping. I was a little wary of what exactly is classed as a minor edit so this link was very helpful. Thanks again! Rosiehannah (talk) 13:05, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
The references you added seem to support the notability of this event. I see multiple third-party references to it, so you should be OK. What you need now is to fix it up a bit. See WP:MOS and look at other similar articles to get an idea about the tone and structure you need to follow. I also recommend heading over to the Teahouse for help from other editors. However, bad layout is not grounds for deletion or anything like that, it's just the idea that we should strive to do do quality work for the encyclopedia. Cheers. §FreeRangeFrog 21:18, 20 November 2012 (UTC)
Absolutely, I agree with that. I looked to Clothes Show Live for inspiration as it is a similar concept yet note that it does need tidying up so hopefully with a little more guidance and help my first ever contribution should be OK. Do you have any particular suggestions? Thanks again Rosiehannah (talk) 09:24, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
Aligning a table
editI'm trying to align the table on the Girls' Day Out Show page so it's on the right at the top -but to no avail. Anyone help? Rosiehannah (talk) 10:16, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
- You said above that you looked to Clothes Show Live for inspiration, so the easy option is to use Template:Infobox Convention as that article does. - David Biddulph (talk) 10:23, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
Ofcourse! I was simply creating a table with the available icon above, when I needed to be creating an infobox. Great. Thank you. Rosiehannah (talk) 10:26, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
The numbers at the side of each contribution
editCan anybody tell me what the numbers mean at the side of each contribution. For example: Moved spacing (+27) Removed table (-90) ? Rosiehannah (talk) 11:44, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
- 27 bytes (or characters) added; 90 removed. But it sometimes gets its calculations wrong. - David Biddulph (talk) 11:54, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
- See Help:User contributions & Wikipedia:Added or removed characters. - David Biddulph (talk) 11:56, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
Oh yes! I thought it was some kind of point system of contributions.. Thanks again. Rosiehannah (talk) 11:59, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for January 18
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Amy Childs, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page David Peters (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:19, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
- Hi! Thanks for the heads up. I didn't realise it let to a disambiguation - I usually check it links! I have removed the link now. Thanks. Rosiehannah (talk) 11:06, 28 January 2013 (UTC)

February 2013
editHello, I'm Dennis Bratland. I wanted to let you know that I removed an external link you added to the page Lambretta (clothing), because it seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. - Thanks Dennis Bratland. How long will this discussion take? I don't know why you can't see it being appropriate? Is Coty Inc necessary? Yes. Jigsaw ESL is the UK version. It is notable. Rosiehannah (talk) 15:03, 13 February 2013 (UTC)
Promotional links
editRosiehannah, please stop adding links to Jigsaw ESL products in places where they are purely promotional. The fact that Calum Best showed up somewhere one day to promote a product is absolutely trivial in nature and falls under WP:NOTEVERYTHING. We don't list what restaurants our subjects may have eaten in the night before, which clubs they frequent, or which promotional events they may attend, it's not encyclopedic. In addition, continuing to add primary source external links to Jigsaw ESL when there is a perfectly fine independent source is disruptive. You have noted that you have no intention of promoting Jigsaw, so please stop editing in a manner that makes it appear that you do. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 15:12, 12 February 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry Jezebel'sPonyo - I am just trying to source the page so it doesn't get deleted and trying my hardest :( Thank you for pointing it out.
- The links to the Jigsaw website are perfectly fine primary sources for the Jigsaw article - it's the addition of the Jigsaw website link and related trivia to tenuously related biography articles that gives the appearance of promotional editing. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 17:44, 13 February 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know, I wish people would just tell me this in the first place to be more helpful. Why hasn't the message of deletion gone yet? :(

Speedy deletion nomination of Sophy Robson
editHello Rosiehannah,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Sophy Robson for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. LavaBaron (talk) 23:37, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Katie Bulmer-Cooke
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Katie Bulmer-Cooke, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
