A tag has been placed on Market for Agricultural Products in Assam/N.E.India, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Status and Advice
edit- As reviewing administrator, I deleted it. though you said on its talk page:
- Here in this page "Market for Agricultural products in Assam/N.E.India", problems of marketting in the region is discussed. The Buyers and sellers are in distress for non availibility of a stage or forum where they can meet each other. Most of the available sites are felt to play a middleman ship in the process.They do not let the beneficiaries to directly contact their counterparts. This site is trying to make it pssible. Buyers and sellers of Agricultural products must meet each other directly for easy,prompt and efficient marketing.For the interest of Agricultural Development in the region, quoting the name of the website is essential.it is to be noted that the website is not getting anything from any deal, takes place between a buyer and seller. So, quoting the name of the website may please be considered as informative, rather than a advertising.--Royalsabri (talk) 09:48, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
- I read it as promotion of the web site, and your comment does not indicate otherwise. I don;t think the topic is intrinsically capable of an article: even without the website link, how is this different from everywhere else in rural India and many other countries--I may be wrong there, but to make a viable article you will need references with substantial specific information from 3rd party independent published reliable sources, print or online., If you can find them try. You might instead want to make an article on distribution of agricultural products in India-- with sources--first see the existing general article: Agriculture in India. Backlog drive
editHello Royalsabri,
WikiProject Orphanage is holding a month long Backlog Elimination Drive to de-orphan articles which have orphan tags!
The goal is to eliminate the backlog of orphan articles. There are currently 53227 articles which have orphan tags. The drive is running from April 12, 2014 to May 12, 2014.
Awards will be given out for all editors participating in the drive in the form of barnstars at the end of the drive. To add your name in the participants list click here.

deOrphaning script
editHello everyone! I was just working on responding to a couple bug reports for a script that I worked up as part of a request from this project, and I noticed that only a couple people (who weren't even on this mailing list) are actually using the script. A little history on the script: In March of 2014, Jim Cartar came to my user talk page and said he needed some help in acquiring a script for a backlog drive that he was working on that could keep track of and score deOrphanings for a scored backlog drive. I took that request to the project's talk page (BackLog Drive "DO" (De-Orphaning) script proposal) and there was near unanimous support for this. I thought about the proposal and decided the best way to do it was to build a new script (which is still no where near as comprehensive as Manishearth's OrphanTabs) and build into it a mechanism that will make BLD scoring easy.
What I'm wondering at this point is, since there appears to be only two people using the script, should I continue to develop this script with a goal of using it for scoring BLDs or just debug the existing script and leave it at that. Thanks for any replies or comments.
