2 or 1 blank spaces

edit

Hello Rpodgorny,

Regarding your edit at Colonia Dignidad, I understand your attitude about 1 vs. 2 blanks spaces after a period, but since these files are all in HTML which collapses extra blank space, there's never any actual reason to do this, because screenshots of the Wikipedia article in a browser before, and after your change, would be identical. The only time you can see extra blanks is in preview mode, when you're looking at the wikicode. Please note that changing one valid format to another valid format may be a violation of MOS:VAR; and that goes double when the rendered page is identical afterward. That said, you are a new editor, and this is *not* a big deal. If you can remember not to do it again, when the *only* reason is your preference, that would be a good thing. If your edit changes the page in some visible way, that would be different; as long as it's an improvement (or you believe it's an improvement) then go ahead and make the change.

Once again, welcome to Wikipedia, and feel free to ask me a question here, or on my Talk page, any time! Cheers, Mathglot (talk) 11:11, 19 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
