I think you've done an exceptional job here, Roberto! Wow! I am so impressed with the level of work you have done! Yes, you will want to talk about all of those things that you have mentioned, and yes, you will want to focus on Max Weber. You may also want to look up the work on the sociology of feelings and emotions. There is a lot there! but you can start with Arlie Hochschild. She was one of the most important sociologists of feeling. Week 6: I think that you are off to a good start, Roberto, but I think that reading just Weber will be hard. You need to find more citations that will help you add useful content to the affectional action page. But you at least have a good idea about where to take the article page. @Rroja042:: Great work starting to move your stuff to the mainspace, Roberto. I think you are nearly finished with the research portion of all of this - you should focus on finishing up the details that you have remaining (like those of The Managed Heart) and then move that content to the mainspace so you can begin formatting and polishing it up to the end. -So I see that you haven't added anything for this weeks work and that's alright so I am going to basically just give you pointers on what you already have. You really need more information in general on your page. Why not make a section on the types of social actions involved in an emotion. Make a list "revenge, love, loyalty, anger, etc" than explain how and why they come to play in this emotion. What leads for those actions to show when one is feeling a certain way. Even go into detail on why a person's state of feeling leads towards one feeling a certain way. Give examples, make it relateable to the reader so they can truly grasp why it happens. Also I think it would be nice to slightly go in deeper into Max Weber. I'm happy you linked him, but maybe explain how he started this concept and why it was started. Don't make it in depth because he clearly has his own page. Yeah, honestly more information would be great, with topics and sub-topics. Make it look "put together" even if it's not. It will help you begin and make life easier, I just did that to mine and it allowed me to bounce of ideas and make it more organized and easier to keep researching. Good luck!

Thanks so much for your input! I really took it to heart and I added a section about examples of affectional action. I'm a bit confused as to what examples I could use, but I want to stray away from vague examples and instead use real life events that actually occurred as my examples. As for Max Weber, it's a bit difficult to write about him, considering he hardly wrote about affectional action. But I'll look more into the origins of the affectional/social action theory. Shanes Peer review

Hey there. I do like the organization of this topic thus far. If I were you, I would go more in depth on Max Weber and get the meat and potatoes of this guy. Though you cannot find much information on him, maybe try using the library here at FIU? Perhaps theres some books on him, or informational texts that might go more in depth on this guy. I would say try your best on that. Since the original creator of this topic couldnt, you should. It would make your input stand out, and WHO KNOWS, you might even find more interesting information along the way! As well as what Prof Garcia said, you should not only research on Weber, you should branch out, and find out more theorists about affectional action.
