Please do not add or change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to List of people from Mississippi. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Delicious carbuncle (talk) 22:33, 22 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Specifically, in the case of Colom, you need to provide independent reliable sources to verify that he is notable. Effectively, he cannot be deemed notable based on his own word; newspaper writers, other journalists, or the like need to have written about him. —C.Fred (talk) 04:19, 24 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please read WP:NOTABILITY. The person you keep adding to the list will likely keep being removed by other editors until that person is shown to meet the guideline. Thanks. Delicious carbuncle (talk) 02:17, 23 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did with this edit to List of people from Mississippi. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Work permit (talk) 01:56, 24 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List_of_people_from_Mississippi. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. --Work permit (talk) 02:04, 24 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for providing an independent source for Colom. Please note that he should only be listed once in the article and not in multiple categories. Accordingly, I've removed the duplicate listing as a writer. —C.Fred (talk) 05:02, 24 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of The New Power Magazine

edit

A tag has been placed on The New Power Magazine, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. —C.Fred (talk) 03:36, 24 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Edit warring at List of people from Mississippi

edit

Please be aware that you violated the WP:Three revert rule on 24 March. If you continue to restore an entry for Anthony Colom to the article, without getting consensus to support you on the talk page, you may be blocked. This issue was reported at the Edit Warring Noticeboard. EdJohnston (talk) 18:31, 25 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
