Unspecified source for Image:25626779.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:25626779.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Shimgray | talk | 22:37, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned fair use image (Image:25808244.jpg)

edit
  This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:25808244.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Telso 19:39, 30 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Image:Withallofmyheart.jpg and associated article.

edit

Hello. I see you've been uploading many images, and have gotten several warnings about them which may not make a whole lot of sense to you.

When you uploaded Image:Withallofmyheart.jpg you put a statement on the image page that says "not copyrighted". I hate to tell you this, but that's not enough.

First of all, that image appears to be an album cover. Album covers are copyrighted, but can be used on Wikipedia so long as they are properly tagged as fair use. When you uploaded the image, there was a drop-down menu, and you really need to pick an option from that menu. In this instance, the option you should have picked is the one under covers that says "Album cover". It puts a tag on the image that says it is a copyrighted album cover and is fair use in an article about the album.

Also, the "article" you put the image on, With All of My Heart - The Greatest Hits, has now been listed for speedy deletion. I notice that there is some text on the talk page that looks like you started to write the article there. That really needs to go on the article page with the image, not the talk page. Pages with no text can be (and usually are) deleted on sight. If, on the other hand, you put some meaningful text on the page, it's more likely to hang around for a while.

Anyway, Welcome to Wikipedia. I would suggest you take a look around so you understand how things work around here a little better and then you will be more successful as a contributer. ~ ONUnicorn (Talk / Contribs) 19:32, 5 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

This isn't orphan bot

edit

Hey, this isn't orphan bot, it's the administrator who just blocked you. You have uploaded many images, have not tagged them, and have claimed that they are not copyrighted. However, some of them clearly are, and can be found using on Google on copyrighted websites. This is unacceptable. If you can assure me that you will not upload copyrighted images without giving proper source information, etc. I will consider shortening your block. You can e-mail me by going to my userpage and clicking on the "E-mail this user" link in the toolbox. Thanks, Mak (talk) 21:07, 10 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

If We Are the Body: The Best of Casting Crowns

edit

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article If We Are the Body: The Best of Casting Crowns, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Thecoverofwowhits2007covercover.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Thecoverofwowhits2007covercover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 12:37, 21 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
