Speedy deletion nomination of The Student Support Centre

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on The Student Support Centre requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Advice

edit

Please read WP:CORP about Notability for companies, and WP:RS about the reliable independent sources needed to prove it. Please remember that Wikipedia is not a directory where every company can have an entry. Peridon (talk) 18:55, 7 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Galliard Homes

  Hello, Rtalbot55. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Galliard Homes, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your circle, your organization, its competitors, projects or products;
  • instead propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Edwardx (talk) 14:16, 15 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of BSB Solicitors

edit

The article BSB Solicitors has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no indication of meeting notability guidelines. While references are given, they are either directories or quotes by representatives of the company - not coverage of the company itself.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. noq (talk) 13:57, 19 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on BSB Solicitors, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Galliard Homes

edit

Hi. You have the choice: You either stop inserting your spamlinks or 1) I lock all articles that mention Gailard so neither you nor anyone else (except admins) can edit them, or 2) I block your Wikipedia account (and you won't be able to create another one). What's it to be? --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 11:25, 5 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Possible conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Rtalbot55. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Galliard Homes, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Edwardx (talk) 12:11, 20 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hello Rtalbot55, please do not add any further links to blogs and promotional sites for real estate and law firms - or any other primarily commercial site. Blogs and commercial sites are generally not considered as reliable sources (WP:RS, WP:BLOGS). Dead links can often be simply replaced with an Internet Archive link of the original link - without adding web traffic to a commercial site. Also, as already mentioned above: if you have any professional connection to the added and described sites, you must disclose that "conflict of interest" (see WP:COI). Editors, who repeatedly add promotional content or links, may get blocked. GermanJoe (talk) 18:41, 31 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did at Credit card, you may be blocked from editing. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have a financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:

  • Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
  • State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
  • Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future.
