Rugbylock (talk) 06:11, 24 April 2013 (UTC)==Photograph Caption== The caption for the team picture is somewhat misleading. It is questionable that the photo could have been taken at the East Melbourne Cricket Ground and while it was certainly taken on an oval in East Melbourne, as evidenced by the location of Government House in the background, there were at that time only two sporting grounds on the same alignment to that building, namely the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and Scotch Oval, and the latter is the only one of those where the goal posts would have appeared as shown in the photograph. Moreover, while the photograph was probably taken on 25 June, as stated in Marshall's 'Football; The Rugby Union Game, and this was a day on which they trained, they did not play Essendon at the East Melbourne Cricket Ground until 28 July.Reply

In the circumstances a revision of the second sentence, along the following lines, would be desirable.

Taken in East Melbourne, in the vicinity of the Melbourne Cricket Ground and the East Melbourne Cricket Ground where they
played several of their Australian Rules Football matches against local teams.Rugbylock (talk) 06:11, 24 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
