Copyright question

Regarding the following file File:Sasika Herath - Director.jpg

You state this was your own work. If you took the photo, can you describe the circumstances you took it in? Was the subject aware you were photographing them? Did you have permission from the subject to take the photo?

Thanks for discussing this matter. I took this photograph in 2020. This person, mr. Sasika Herath have used this photo as his Facebook cover photo with my knowledge and I have informed and got the permission to upload this to the Wikipedia database.

Yes. I took this photo during the trip to Gerandiella (Gerandiella waterfall) near Palmadulla, Rathnapura, Sri Lanka in October 2018. The subject, mr. Sasika Herath was aware that I were photographing him and requested to take a photo. He was a member of our crew which was shooting a documentary. Rushan Kodikara (talk) 13:55, 4 April 2023 (UTC)

As I have written above, I am new to writing Wikipedia articles. I have read and mostly understood about the Wikipedia's policies and the guidelines. But because English is not my mother tongue, I am not very clear on what makes my writing not along with the guidelines.
