It's cool. I've tried contacting BOM multiple times about the Superman Returns budget (have sources that talk to both Singer and certain producers directly), but they refuse to acknowledge my emails. As for the userboxes, the Hulk one, as well as the Dead Zone one I created personally. Those, and the rest, can be found on this page. Just open up the edit option and copy the code for the particular user box that you want. I somewhat copied the design from Steve, who I think copied from another editor (though I do not know who). We share the design of userspaces pretty freely, so you do not have to worry about permission so much. But if it's a courtesy call you're aiming for, then I am fine with you copying the design I'm using. I'm sure Steve would be fine with it as well. Hey, welcome to WikiProject Films! We're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of films, awards, festivals, filmmaking, and film characters. If you haven't already, please add {{User WikiProject Films}} to your user page.

I don't see a section on the film's talk page for me to act as a mediator for. I looked at the information on the page, and it seems to be a "fence" issue. First, the bit about "thousands of people working on the film", it's rather vague. If we knew that this was something special for this film (i.e. that it was uncommon to have this many people working on the film), and in what capacity they all were working then I would be fine with it. Otherwise, it seems like a trivial piece of information. As for the reviewers opinion on the effects, I'm on the fence with this. If you don't include it now, I would certainly hold onto the source until the film is released so that you could include his opinion in comparison to the opinions after the film is completed. Those are my thoughts. I would suggest starting a thread on the talk page and notifying the film community so that you can gain a larger opinion on the matter.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 02:48, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

Your edits to YouTube

Two things. First, there is no notability policy or guideline that dictates the information that is included in an article. Information does not have to be notable, a topic does. WP:NOTHOWTO does not apply unless you are writing about how to use this feature on YouTube. As such, in this case one could easily argue that the inclusion of 3-D technology on a website (which is not a common thing) is of historical significance. The same with WP:NOTNEWS. The biggest problem is that both of those are policies, BUT, they are both about articles and not the information within an article. They dictate what we can create an article for, not necessarily what we can put in an article. That being said, Explicit (talk · contribs) was correct in reverting your addition, because youtube is not a reliable source (not even for itself), and if this feature truly is permanent, and significant then you will need secondary sources that state how significant it is.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 02:11, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

Please discuss this at Talk:YouTube rather than edit warring and risking a WP:3RR breach. Last week's blog reports about one YouTube video done as a personal trial are not worth an entire section in the main article. Budget

There wouldn't be, just like there isn't a policy saying that you just include the budget for initial filming of a movie.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 00:19, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

It's all the same. The studio didn't "spend" anything. They provided money, and the filmmakers used it. Ultimately, it was all in vain, but that doesn't change the fact that it was used. Second, the budget section of the article explains that the filmmakers originally only spent 20k on the film, and that it wasn't until later that 500k was spent on re-shoots and a new musical score. When I said, "it's all the same", I meant "it's all one 'budget'". Meaning, what they spent initially is part of the overall "production" budget for the film, and what they spent afterward on reshoots and new music is also part of the overall "production" budget for the film. You cannot just ignore the money they spent later. The infobox should reflect the final product, and what they spent before Artison bought the rights to the film was not the final product.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 01:57, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

Hey! Yeah, I remember you! Haven't seen Lovely Bones yet, but excited to. Been thinking about buying the book. In terms of my filmmaking, I have made one short film and worked on a documentary. Made a lot of filmmaking friends, both pro and amateur, and it's been great. Moving down to L.A. after I make a couple more short films because I have a bunch of work waiting for me down there. In terms of what kind of films I make, I stick to drama. I just feel that dramatic films really show the art of filmmaking (not that others genres aren't art). I actually have the link to my short film near the bottom of my user page if you want to check it out. It's called Reflection. Be kind though - I had to make it on a $0 budget. Going to LA for work already?! Wow you progress fast. Well I would like to do Fantasy, Drama and Comedy features. Directing, writing and acting, though that's probably too ambitious. What actors do you like? I have to say Angelina Jolie, Kate Winslet, Matt Damon, Kiera Knightly, Viggo Mortensen are some of my favourites but Saoirse Ronan deserves credit. Yeah, my first short film really got me a lot of great attention. -- If you want to write, direct and act I don't think that's too ambitious. Several stars do that already. You may want to practice doing one at a time first until you get a handle on things, that way you're not overwhelmed from the start on doing everything at once. I'm thinking about seeing Lovely Bones tonight, though I'm not sure. My favorite actors are Kevin Spacey, Tom Hanks, Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, Kevin McKidd, Daniel Day-Lewis, Christina Ricci, Ellen Burstyn, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Cate Blanchett and Bryce Dallas Howard. No, haven't seen it yet. Kind of worried about seeing it because of all I've heard. Might wait to Netfix it because there are other movies that I really want to see and I have very little money to see them with, so I have to be picky. As for Avatar - I have no doubt that it will be number one. It took Titanic 9 months to earn $1.8 billion and Avatar has earned $1.64 in less than a month. I have to kind of, but not fully, disagree with you about the acting. The actors had to act and react with nothing. That's extremely hard. Granted, not all the acting was great. I'm mostly thinking of Stephen Lang as Quaritch. He was horrible. But yeah - check it out. Definitely an experience. Careful though.
