editIf you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page. 331dot (talk) 19:05, 16 September 2019 (UTC)Ryan McElhany (block log • active blocks • global blocks • autoblocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))

Only you have access to changing your email address, in your Preferences. I have redacted it for your protection. Someone else will review your request. 331dot (talk) 19:30, 16 September 2019 (UTC)
- How about "removing sourced information that the founder failed in his original plan"? "Adding yourself to the article" probably also doesn't quite count as an "update". Huon (talk) 22:13, 16 September 2019 (UTC)
You should carefully read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. PhilKnight (talk) 15:07, 17 September 2019 (UTC)
- I have checked the editing that you did, and the only thing that I see as possibly problematic was removing "Wilson reorganized the school's objective after finding a low success rate regarding people whose lifestyles changed permanently" and the corresponding citation. I assume that is what you were referring to when you said "an update that needed to be made". If so can you explain in what sense it was an "update"? Although that is in itself a very small detail, I'm afraid it does raise some doubt on how far you will comply with the conflict of interest guideline. My opinion is that most of what you did was indeed perfectly valid updating of information, so I would like you to be unblocked, but I do think before that can happen you need to clearly show that you understand the guideline on conflict of interest, as experience over the years shows that editors who merely say that they understand more often than not actually don't, so they finish up being blocked again. - You have four open unblock requests; please consolidate them into one. 331dot (talk) 15:25, 27 September 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks for consolidating your open requests; closed requests must remain until the block is removed. 331dot (talk) 23:06, 27 September 2019 (UTC)
