Bad article

Hi I was wondering if you could look through this article List of Degrassi: The Next Generation characters and give some input I look at it and I think its horribly written asking question and making presumptions Im not sure what should be done with it but it asks questions to the reader making it very non-encyclopedic not all are like this just some and it has lines that are completely unecessary The Movie Master 1 (talk) 22:05, 2 January 2010 (UTC)

I am not particularly interested in working on that page at this moment. I am not even sure as to how I came across it in the first place.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 00:16, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
Thats ok im just looking for other people to look at it before i decide to do something The Movie Master 1 (talk) 02:14, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

I am sorry

I am sorry for what happened before. I apologize for that. It was my mistake. Please do not make me be banned for 6-9 months. Please. Can't you forgive me?Wiki Greek Basketball (talk) 10:30, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

You do not understand what has happened. You have developed an entirely unhealthy emotional attachment to becoming an administrator. Preventing you from touching WP:RFA for six months and then preventing you from nominating yourself for adminship for another three months after that is meant to teach you something instead of coddle you.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 11:24, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

If you don't mind, what was wrong with this edit? It seems to have been made in good faith, and it was relevant to the article. The one before it was a clear copyvio, but I don't see anything wrong with this one. LedgendGamer 08:13, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Page moves

Hi, Ryulong. Why are you moving pages on Japanese persons to non-macron spellings, contrary to MOS-JA? Or has this been changed? Dekkappai (talk) 04:21, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

These names are actually in line with WP:MOS-JA as they are the official spellings utilized by the subjects of the articles, which comes before the Hepburn romanicization.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 04:27, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
Well the only move that hit my watch list was Shuji Kataoka... If it's true we don't use a macron if the subject doesn't use them in their signatures, then we might as well throw out macrons altogether. Does anyone use a macron "officially"? Dekkappai (talk) 04:32, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
"Shuji Kataoka" is used and not "Shuuji" or "Shuhji" or anything. The use of macrons only exists when we have no common spelling or English speling. Some people don't have websites. Some people use "ou" instead of "o" or "oh".—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 04:34, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
OK. I don't care whether it's spelled "color" or "colour", I just get excited when people start deleting Red & Yellow because they're not Black & White, if you get my drift... Dekkappai (talk) 04:39, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
If you have something that contradicts the original page names that were changed by a user who has no idea how the MOS works, then show them to me and you can undo the moves. Until then, it's Yuichi Nakamura and Maki Goto.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 04:51, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

Hi again, Ryulong. I don't know about the others, but it appears Shuji Kataoka was moved based on the spelling at his "official site" given in his infobox-- Pinkeiga.com. But I see neither evidence nor even a claim anywhere that this is his official site. It's just a company which introduces pink eiga to the US market, and provides biographies on some of the cast & staff. In a brief search I could find no official site for Kataoka, but the only scholarly-ish work I have which covers Kataoka's work very much (Sharp, Jasper (2008). Behind the Pink Curtain: The Complete History of Japanese Sex Cinema. Guildford: FAB Press. ISBN 978-1-903254-54-7.) uses the macron (circumflex actually). Thoughts? Dekkappai (talk) 16:14, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

If his official website says "Shuji" we use "Shuji". End of discussion.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 16:33, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
What does his official website say? Dekkappai (talk) 16:43, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
"Shuji".—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 16:50, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
Could you provide the link, please? I couldn't find it. Dekkappai (talk) 17:01, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
It's on our page for him.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 17:02, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
Our page on him has no official site. It used to have an incorrect one-- his biography at pinkeiga.com. Dekkappai (talk) 17:05, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
Whatever. It's the most common name.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 17:06, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

RE: Deletion

I've listed both L. Cedeño and Bliss Wishes for deletion. You can discuss it here but do not say "I want it gone".—Ryūlóng

I don't know what you mean "I want it gone.." Etrangere (talk) 07:54, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

You blanked the pages after someone changed it. That is taken as a "I want this page deleted" tactic.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 07:54, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
Actually - no one has ever edited the page but me as far as I can tell and I created it. I did blank the page at one point. Afterwards another editor restored it as they thought it met the criteria for inclusion. Etrangere (talk) 10:25, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
Well, I don't think it does anymore.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 10:24, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

Samurai Sentai Shinkenger

Hi, can you please tell me why you identified this as vandalism? I couldn't find anything on the talk page. --NeilN talk to me 01:33, 25 January 2010 (UTC)

You saw the edits that same IP made to Tensou Sentai Goseiger right? He's been at this for a month now. It's vandalism. Take my word for it. For more information read Wikipedia:Abuse response/76.205.27.234.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 01:38, 25 January 2010 (UTC)

Colombian voice actors

Hi Ryulong, I've just deprodded these articles because pages that have already been discussed at AfD cannot be deleted under the proposed deletion process. I think nominating the articles individually at AfD is the best option here. I might do that myself sometime later unless you beat me to it. Regards, Jafeluv (talk) 11:07, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

The AFD closed no consensus and there is no way I am going to sit down and make 30 AFDs for subjects that are definitely not notable.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 11:10, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
I understand. Guess I'm going to have to do it myself, then Make that 29, by the way – Alexander Páez has already been deleted by Jehochman (talk · contribs). Jafeluv (talk) 11:21, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

Shikenger

But Komatsu IS a kuroko, hend the move. Also Hyper Shinken Green is to appear in Act #48 as seen in the episode preview.Fractyl (talk) 00:49, 27 January 2010 (UTC)

He's a named ally before being a kuroko.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 00:51, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
But he was also a kuroko before being introduced, having quit his job to take up a fisherman's life.Fractyl (talk) 00:58, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
He's a named ally.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 00:59, 27 January 2010 (UTC)

Uramasa

But that is the way weapons like that are refered to, both "real" and fictional(Bleach being a good example). Not to mention that Uramasa is referenced as a person by its owner. Fractyl (talk) 02:27, 28 January 2010 (UTC)

There is no "the" in the Japanese language. It is a stylistic choice that I have taken which makes it flow better.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 02:53, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
Yeah. But we who speak english does not say/write "the Glamdring" (Hobbit), "the Excalibur" (the sword), "the Mjölner", and "the Chrysaor" (The Faeire Queen). Even the english dub of Bleach doesn't use "the Zangetsu". In order words, you stylistic choice is really not needed for Uramasa as weapons with personalized names have no need for "the" in any language. Fractyl (talk) 05:00, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
That is because you are used to that. To me, it feels like just "Uramasa" is awkward.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 17:27, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
Not just me, hence why most of wikipedia weapon pages like Excalibur don't use "the" in their pages. Furthermore, you can't just change something because you feel it's awakard. But I can meet you in the middle: we can use "Uramasa" and "the blade/katana."Fractyl (talk) 04:04, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
Fine. Remove the instances of "the" when it comes before "Uramasa". Just so long as it gets you to drop the subject.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 04:06, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

plaxico reference

Nice reference on ANI, tying the unknown sock to Jessica Liao and the banned user list and all of that. tedder (talk) 23:24, 28 January 2010 (UTC)

I do what I can.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 23:26, 28 January 2010 (UTC)

I have to second the nice reference. It didnt immediately hit me that it was Jessica who was editing pages i contributed to immediately after i did... Speedy catch. MrMacMan Talk 20:12, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

Kansas State Wildcats men's basketball

I agree that a lot of the changes are probably due to fans of the opposing team. Still, it doesn't hurt to have a citation. Ideally everything would be cited. Evil saltine (talk) 20:51, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

AutoEd at Kamen Rider Double‎

How doe's changing
to
, ♡ to ♡, removing whitespace, and adding space where needed "break the page"? Powergate92Talk 18:05, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

You added white space which broke the formatting otherwise.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 21:02, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
Now I see what you're talking about that looks like a bug, so I just reported the bug here and I'm going to run AutoEd again but this time I'll remove any spaces it adds to "*:". Powergate92Talk 22:50, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
Also, the code for the heart is better than the heart itself, and your edits really did nothing worthwhile. Just because you can autoclean doesn't mean that you should.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 22:51, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
