Speedy deletion nomination of Htet Hlyam Hmue
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Htet Hlyam Hmue requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. --Nahal(T) 10:50, 28 August 2019 (UTC)

editHi! I saw your post on my talk page. Which class are you in? I'm not certain which training modules you've taken - I didn't see your name on Dashboard, so I wasn't able to check this. If you're having trouble with general editing, these videos are very helpful. In any case, if you're not a student it would be best to ask for help through the Teahouse, as I have to focus more on the students who are signed up for classes. That said, I can still give you some general advice with your questions!
Now as far as article creation goes, it depends on what you're doing. If you're putting something through the Articles for Creation process, it's best to work in the draftspace. I would especially recommend this if you're a new user. If it's a general article then you can work in your userspace, but be aware that the article will still need to meet notability guidelines as well as be written in a neutral fashion, otherwise it can run the risk of being deleted.
Looking at the draft here, I have the following notes:
- Avoid calling someone famous or any other terms that could be seen as subjective to the reader, such as "most successful". For example, while one person could agree that a person is famous, the next may disagree. It's also generally a given that if someone is notable then they will have achieved a certain level of fame in one sphere or another in order to pass notability guidelines.
- Another example would be the term success. To be the most successful is a very big claim, as it means that he's done better than anyone else. Since success is something that is open to interpretation, someone could look at him and say that he's less successful than someone else in the same field - or a young artist from another era.
- This needs coverage in places like newspapers and the type. Just existing as a performer isn't enough to establish notability, so you need coverage that is written about him. Primary sources (such as official websites or anything put out by the performer or people/businesses/etc affiliated with him) can't give notability and in some cases, they can actually be inappropriate to add. For example, sales websites shouldn't be used as sources because they can come across as promotional.
What I would recommend is that you go to the WikiProject on Myanmar, a project devoted to editing on topics related to Myanmar, as they can help you find good sources to use and help point out which can or can't be used as sources. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 17:53, 28 August 2019 (UTC)
- You will confuse everybody and especially yourself if you work on a draft in more than one location. Your latest edits are at User:Ryzen Lynn/sandbox. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:25, 28 August 2019 (UTC)
