-And so I don't have to block up my talk apge, can I ask you what makes you an expert in MO quizbowl statisitcs? Obviously you live here, as I do, but are you a quiz bowl moderator, or just a concerned student? In the other classes no doubt SLUH would get crushed, but we're talking about their own class here, and that's realy all that matters.

--I do not live in MO right now, but I am quite aware of what goes on at state in quizbowl. And I am talking about their class, because NKC, Liberty, Parkway Central,Oak Park, and Ladue are all in the same class. I am certain those teams could crush SLUH any day. And I would say they got pretty well crushed at state, and at Wash U (specifically their 315-55 match to WCA).

I don't remember our case against Timo Kim being that he didn't deserved a medal. The argument is that he didn't deserve the third highest scorer medal for his class, particulary because MSHSAA poorly districts schools so that NKC's Charles (with a team that could win any other district but their's and Ladue's) was eliminated from the state competition by Liberty (who they played within 2 questions of). If MSHSAA redistricted, then Charles would have undoubtedly bumped Kim down a spot and thus knocked the lowest high scorer off the list.

Note on Parkway Central: This year they maybe couldn't have beaten SLUH, but from 2002-2005 their captains Chris Ottolino and then Jimmy Li could use SLUH as dental floss.
