"Original" Research

It's IN the episode. As described in the paragraph, you can see the Roadblock clue they're holding and easily, visibly see them open the clue in a location besides the dam. This is something we've been doing for years on the TAR pages without any issue. 2604:3D08:7480:4B00:61D4:AF5C:21C3:9FC1 (talk) 08:24, 11 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Yes, but it wasn't openly mentioned and I don't think anyone has brought up the issue before. I've also seen the roadblock clue but have refrained from adding it per WP:NOR. SHB2000 (talk) 08:26, 11 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
There is a roadblock clue visible in the episode. A roadblock took place. You can see it with your human eyeballs. That's not original research, it's within the subject of the article itself. Or do we have to cite each and every individual episode to keep it from being original research. Stop removing correct information. 2604:3D08:7480:4B00:61D4:AF5C:21C3:9FC1 (talk) 08:32, 11 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Has it been published on one of the contestants insta or facebook page, if so, then leave it but this is
  • 1. You seeing it
  • 2. You adding it based on what you saw and not what someone else saw and you added what you saw onto enwiki.
It may be correct but we don't allow original research here on enwiki.

That's ridiculous. How does anyone add any information about tv shows then? All information from tv shows comes from us, the viewers, seeing it. Also, not to mention, this is the big problem with Wikipedia. Someone comes by and quotes some regulation that allows them to remove a bunch of information and that's just that. If you try to refute it (like here, I disagree with your assertion that this is OR), then it usually just ends up you get accused of edit warring and are shut down. I hate this "I'm a single person and I'm right to change everything" mentality that goes on. Whatever, obviously I'm not going to be able to change your mind. If you're content with having Wikipedia be inaccurate and incomplete, then I hope you're proud of yourself. 2604:3D08:7480:4B00:61D4:AF5C:21C3:9FC1 (talk) 08:43, 11 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Please be civil SHB2000 (talk) 08:45, 11 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
And also back to the topic, it is possible to write about TV shows, for example, I'll use TAR, did Beau Ryan announce it, if then yes add it if not do the following:

1. Is it on one of the contestants insta/facebook page? If yes, then add it, it is not original research. If no, then leave it as we at enwiki want to write what is publically known and not something that they didn't announce. ~

And I hope you choose not to attack me on external links (i.e. my insta page). SHB2000 (talk) 08:54, 11 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

I'm speechless. You're being completely ridiculous. Where did this insta page stuff even come from? Why would I stalk you on your Instagram page, what the hell kind of accusation is that? I didn't even attack you in any way, what I said was incredibly tame compared to stuff I've seen elsewhere and was directed at the general atmosphere of Wikipedia and its edit culture, where rules more often than not serve to remove information rather than add it. But if you're asking me not to attack you on instagram (again, what the hell) then I don't even know where to begin with that one. We're done here. Just leave the information off, I don't care anymore. 2604:3D08:7480:4B00:61D4:AF5C:21C3:9FC1 (talk) 09:19, 11 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Regardless, this will be my last edit on wikipedia. SHB2000 (talk) 09:34, 11 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Oh and by the way, the insta attack has come from User:Fordaona via email and through Insta. There's another user on wikivoyage also took a litter bin dispute to the wv facebook page and attacked an editor there. It's why I get stuff like this. SHB2000 (talk) 09:46, 11 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
