 – Just an FYI.

Suggestion for WikiProject United States to support WikiProject New Mexico

  Resolved
 – Just an FYI.

It was recently suggested that WikiProject New Mexico, to which you are a member, may be inactive or semi-active and it might be beneficial to include it in the list of projects supported by WikiProject United States. After reviewing the project it appears that there haven't been much active discussion on the talk page in some time and the only content updates appear to be simple maintenance so being supported by a larger project might be beneficial. I have begun a discussion on the projects talk page to see how the members of the project feel about this suggestion. Another user has added the project to the WPUS template and I added it to the list of supported projects in the WPUS main project page but before I take any further action I wanted to contact each of the active members for their input. --Kumioko (talk) 14:49, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

That sounds like a grand idea. And not just for this state. — SMcCandlish Talk⇒ ʕ(Õلō Contribs. 15:32, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

 – Others are developing this now; out of my hands.

Updates to this are very welcome, thanks. One thing though - it doesn't seem to use the vertical form any more, could this be fixed (or added as an option) in future releases? pablo 12:28, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

Working on it. Probably won't release until FF4.x is out of beta (if it isn't already - haven't checked in a few weeks). Vertical format will be an option, but one that you have to manually enable. Have no had time to work out the code for actually installing an Otions menu and supporting functionality. Going with horizontal layout by popular demand, though I prefer the vertical format myself. — SMcCandlish Talk⇒ ʕ(Õلō Contribs. 01:21, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
Every time I think about messing with it other stuff comes out, and or another version of Firefox hits public beta... — SMcCandlish Talk⇒ ʕ(Õلō Contribs. 16:23, 12 August 2011 (UTC)

at Bill Hicks. It is always heartening to see other editors who advocate for encyclopedic WP:TONE. Wikipedia tends to shed good editors since it's so much work keeping articles in good shape what with rabid fans treating articles like fan sites, and I want to encourage good editors like you to stick around. With regards, --Tenebrae (talk) 16:45, 14 August 2011 (UTC)

Thanks. Just wikignoming. I don't know much about Hicks, but I know that his article here isn't a memorial. — SMcCandlish Talk⇒ ʕ(Õلō Contribs. 18:07, 14 August 2011 (UTC)

Invitation from the Guild of Copy Editors

The Guild of Copy Editors invites you to participate in their September 2011 Backlog elimination drive, a month-long effort to reduce the size of the copy editing backlog. The drive will begin on September 1 at 00:00 (UTC) and will end on September 30 at 23:59 (UTC). We will be tracking the number of 2010 articles in the backlog, as we want to copy edit as many of those as possible. Please consider copy editing an article that was tagged in 2010. Barnstars will be given to anyone who edits more than 4,000 words, with special awards for the top 5 in the categories "Number of articles", "Number of words", and "Number of articles of over 5,000 words". See you at the drive! – Your drive coordinators: Diannaa, Chaosdruid, The Utahraptor, Slon02, and SMasters.
