editHello, I'm Wgolf. I noticed that you removed a Biographies of Living Persons PROD, from Cynthia Garrett, and I wanted to let you know that I have replaced it. Please don't remove these Biographies of Living Persons PRODs from articles unless they contain at least one reliable source or were created before 18 March 2010. If you oppose the deletion of an article under this process, please consider adding reliable sources to the article or commenting at the respective talk page. Thank you. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Cynthia Garrett. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism. Thank you. editHello. Regarding the recent revert you made: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. Bentogoa (talk) 06:50, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
Hi, you recently put your report on the wrong part of this page, causing conflicts to happen (see the page history.) In the future please always put reports at the bottom of the page. MadGuy7023 (talk) 10:11, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
Srigouri
editI've reverted the vague speedy deletion template you've added to Srigouri. There's no reason to delete an article about a village, especially only a minute after the article was created. Please read Wikipedia:Please do not bite the newcomers for more information on why this wasn't a good idea. Thank you, Dai Pritchard (talk) 10:52, 24 February 2015 (UTC)

Deletion
editHi there, Looking through your short list of contributions, thanks for your efforts, but CALM DOWN! Reverting vandalism is great, but there is no need to abuse the vandals - then you are just being dragged down to their level. And when it comes to deleting articles, being "too short" isn't a valid reason for deletion. Have a read of the actual valid reasons at WP:CSD, WP:PROD and WP:AFD. If an article is about a notable subject (and playing 1 game, let alone 100 games of top level sport is generally considered notable here), then as long as it is sourced and makes a claim about that notability, it won't be deleted. Regards, The-Pope (talk) 11:34, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
- Hello, as the user above said, your enthusiasm for new pages patrol is appreciated, but I'd advise you to avoid it for now until you have familiarised yourself with the criteria. Read the criteria at WP:CSD, WP:PROD and WP:AFD add new pages to your watchlist and think about how you'd deal with those pages and then wait and see how other more experienced users handle them. It's always advisable to search for sources yourself (see WP:BEFORE) to see if you can improve the article yourself. Valenciano (talk) 12:28, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
- I endorse the above advice and in particular, when applying speedy deletion tags, for the time being at least, you should stick to the standard deletion criteria. For example, in the case of B144, being in a foreign language is not, by itslef, a valid reason for speedy deletion. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:56, 24 February 2015 (UTC)

Your recent edits
editHello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Please warn users before reporting them to the vandalism noticeboard
editGreetings! I've responded to two of your reports to WP:AIV today by taking no action. The users—even IP users who aren't logged in—need to be warned before we take action on the reports at the vandalism noticeboard. Please make sure you're warning the users after you revert the vandalism. There are a series of templates you can use, such as {{uw-vandalism1}}, {{uw-vandalism2}}, {{uw-vandalism3}}, and {{uw-vandalism4}} to streamline the warning process. —C.Fred (talk) 13:25, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
- BUT,i don't have right to warn people...SPIKE SPIKE BAD (talk) 13:27, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
- Any user may warn another user for inappropriate conduct.
- Also, please keep your communications civil. This edit summary at Bad Attitude (album) was inappropriate. —C.Fred (talk) 13:28, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to remove portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Leopoldo Luque with this edit, you may be blocked from editing. MadGuy7023 (talk) 13:36, 24 February 2015 (UTC)

Recent edit to Margaret Mahy
editHello. I noticed that you recently made a contribution to the Margaret Mahy article that seemed to be a test. Your test worked! However, test edits on live articles disrupt Wikipedia and may confuse readers. If you want more practice editing, the sandbox is the best place to do so. editIt is great you want to contribute to Wikipedia but what you are doing just is not helping right now. You need to familiarize yourself with the policies and guidelines here first. Read everything on the welcome template above and also read some of the discussions on WP:AN, WP:ANI and the other noticeboards to get an idea of what kinds of issues there are.
Making errors is fine, I have made a lot. Not learning from your errors is a problem.
Also, a good rule to follow is never use profanity, either explicitly or by ading X's or what not. I know people do but you really should not. JBH (talk) 12:53, 25 February 2015 (UTC)

Thank you for making a report on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, it appears that the editor you reported may not have engaged in vandalism, or the user was not sufficiently or appropriately warned. Please note there is a difference between vandalism and unhelpful or misguided edits made in good faith. If the user continues to vandalise after a recent final warning, please re-report it. Thank you. Bobherry Userspace Talk to me! Stuff I have done 13:28, 25 February 2015 (UTC)

Hello, and thank you for removing vandalism from Wikipedia. We appreciate this, but unfortunately your edit was not successful in restoring the article to its pre-vandalised state. For future reference, it is better to deal with vandalism by checking the article's page history to determine how it appeared before it was vandalised. You can then restore the whole article, or the relevant part of it, to an appropriate earlier version. If you simply delete the visible vandalism then any content removed or overwritten by the vandal is lost. See How to deal with vandalism for details. Thank you. Bobherry Userspace Talk to me! Message from XLinkBot
editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Federal Signal 3T22 has been reverted.
Your edit here to Federal Signal 3T22 was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvQeysqDj8U) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 05:33, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
Yes, actually, editors can blank their talk page
editThis YOU DONT HAVE THE RIGHT TO BLANK YOUR USER TALK PAGE! was both rude and wrong. You have 177 edits and I count about 20 warnings on your talk page. If you keep this up you are going to end up on WP:ANI sooner rather than later. I am shocked it has not happened already. My guess is, like me, no one here wants to deal with the drama.
Tone it down, this is not a school yard, a locker room or even your living room. This is a public space and you need to behave like it. If you can not learn how to be less impulsive and much more civil, much, much more civil I fear your time here will be short. Please take the time to read WP:CIR, WP:AGF and Wikipedia:Civility. We have rules, if you want to be part of this community you must at least attempt to follow them, not just saying you will but doing so. I do hope you are able to moderate your behavior, Wikipedia can use active and motivated editors like you. JBH (talk) 05:38, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

editWelcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Diguvamagham, but we cannot accept original research. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, and ideas—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Vin09 (talk) 06:19, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

Slow down
editHi there. Please take your time when editing, your most recent WP:AIV report was for an IP editor who was obviously acting in good faith and just having some trouble, and many of your messages are short and largely unhelpful ("again..."). Please also stop using capital letters in messages and edit summaries, they read as aggressive. Thanks, Sam Walton (talk) 11:28, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

- You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia. - When you are told here to stop using capitals, were reminded about it further down the page, and then you reply here in capitals, we can only assume that you are being deliberately disruptive and provocative. For that sort of behaviour there is only one consequence. - David Biddulph (talk) 14:56, 27 February 2015 (UTC)
Not learning
editDespite repeated warnings you simply do not seem to be learning anything. Although draft:George Clarke (footballer, born 1900) lacked an appropriate AfC tag and was hopelessly short, it was nevertheless perfectly valid in draft: space. I have blocked you briefly as a warning that your current activities cannot be allowed to continue. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:33, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

- And this also shows you are not listening or learning to the repeated advice given you above on CSD. Dai Pritchard (talk) 14:01, 27 February 2015 (UTC)
- No, Spike Spike, you need to stay away from CSD altogether for now, as it is clear that you still do not understand the criteria and your edits are doing more harm than good, as other users have to spend time patrolling you, which defeats the point of you patrolling. You are also continuing to ignore all the advice given to you. Users have told you repeatedly not to use profanity in edit summaries, even if it is with asterixes and if it is in response to vandalism. Vandals are often bored teenagers posting stuff to get a reaction and your edit summaries like this and this are exactly what they are hoping for. If you do want to participate in new page patrolling, then I'll be happy to help you, just send me a message on my talk page and I can guide you through the criteria. I've already advised you what to do, add new pages to your watchlist and note how experienced users deal with them. Usually, new pages don't need to go to CSD, we can fix issues ourselves, as the main aim of this project is adding more content. If you continue to ignore advice you will very soon be blocked again and eventually, you'll be blocked indefinitely. Please listen! Valenciano (talk) 14:10, 27 February 2015 (UTC)
