My concern is that of the notability of the subject. Please take a read of our guidelines, and edit the article, citing sources that prove that the website meets those guidelines. Please do not remove the deletion notice from the article, but you may wish to offer why you think the article should not be deleted at the discussion. - To establish the notability of the subject, third party, reliable sources need to be cited. Has the website received any attention from newspapers, magazines or other, reliable websites? If so, please cite the relevant articles. Primary sources are ok for some things, but are no good for establishing notability. As for how long the article will remain tagged- there will be five days in which editors can comment on whether the article should be deleted, after which time an administrator will decide what is to be done with the article, or perhaps allow a longer amount of time for discussion. - Ah, someone has already commented at the debate, so it would be bad form to withdraw it now. What the user has said is very valid- the article seems to be written in the style of an advert for the website. Wikipedia's articles are written from the neutral point of view, and so phrases like "then Dubai Lime is the place for them" are inappropriate, and the way the article talks about the lack of banner ads and the like is also rather questionable. Instead, the article should focus on the purpose of the site, its history, and what it has gained attention in the press for. J Milburn 23:21, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

- Thanks, and there's no need to add more links unless you are specifically using them as sources. We don't add signatures to articles, only messages that we write on talk pages (or occasionally other pages where we discuss things, like deletion debates, but never articles). Wikipedia articles should not contain first hand information- that would violate our no original research policy. All information should be attributed to reliable sources. J Milburn 00:12, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

- Still, it reads like an advert. For instance, rather than "People who are new to Dubai and looking to make friends, looking to expand their social circle or even if they are just looking for something to do during the week then the website Dubai Lime is worth a visit"- which is very much an opinion, something like "The site is aimed at people new to Dubai, and residents who are looking to make friends in the local area." - Ok, I've had a look at the article and edited it a little; it could still do with more internal links, which is what the tag at the top is about. Not sure what you mean by 'international editor'- I'm an administrator and contribute only to the English language Wikipedia, and although I do write about my local area, I also edit articles about all sorts of things, as you can see. - Ah, no, I don't write outside of Wikipedia- I'm just starting college tomorrow, so I'm not really at that level yet. Yeah, external links should be kept to a minimum, and it would be best if you move some of the news articles to references- better articles use lots of references (preferably as footnotes) and only a few external links. License tagging for Image:Maindubailime.JPG

Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

Orphaned non-free media (Image:DubaiLimeLogo.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:DubaiLimeLogo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
