Speedy tag

edit

Hi. Two problems with this speedy: you need to look at the article history and, if a speedy has already been declined (not by the article author) it's not appropriate to re-speedy. Also, the reason I declined the first speedy is that this isn't really a WP:CSD#G3: "vandalism" implies intent to damage the encyclopedia or at least not to care about damaging it, and "hoax" implies intent to deceive. This author was trying to contribute: he has got something he wants to tell the world about. It fails WP:V, WP:N, WP:NFT, WP:NOTHOWTO etc, but none of those are speedy reasons. Have a look at WP:CSD#Non-criteria. Carry on patrolling new pages, though - one of the most important ways to keep Wikipedia useful! Regards, JohnCD (talk) 10:52, 13 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

SS Pontic

edit

I've de-prodded this, WP:SHIPS convention is that ships over 100'/100 tons are generally capable of sustaining their own articles. A similar tender was SS Nomadic. At 394 GRT, Pontic should be capable of sustaining an article. Will alert the Ships Wikiproject. Mjroots (talk) 14:59, 12 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Your deletion proposal at Huai'an Pingqiao tofu was contested, so I have taken it to AfD at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Huai'an Pingqiao tofu. JamesBWatson (talk) 13:46, 26 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of NASA Astronaut Group 21

edit

The article NASA Astronaut Group 21 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Insufficient information currently exists for a meaningful article on this subject, and is unlikely to for over a year. Article can be recreated once more information is available.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. GW 17:01, 4 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion: Angie Nussey

edit

I have removed the {{prod}} tag from Angie Nussey, which you proposed for deletion. I'm leaving this message here to notify you about it. If you still think the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{prod}} template back to the article. Instead, feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks!

Wanna reconsider SPEEDY?

edit

Milk War. I copy&paste moved this page to new title but retained your SPEEDY. I think it might have good chance of developing as an article, given the film has received James Beard Foundation Award and is some secondary press coverage, like [1] and [2]. --hydrox (talk) 03:30, 27 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion declined: Centralazation

edit

Hello Safiel. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Centralazation, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: I don't think this is a hoax, which implies intent to deceive. Fails WP:OR, but let the AfD take care of it. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 10:16, 2 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Little tempo

edit

A tag has been placed on Little tempo, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

G6 - Useless redirect page as a result of a capitalization error

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Safiel (talk) 17:36, 26 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

When moving pages, as you did to Anthony Cerrato, please remember to fix any double redirects. These can create slow, unpleasant experiences for the reader, waste server resources, and make the navigational structure of the site confusing. Thank you. Better fit would have been A7. Anthony Cerrato

edit

You might not have realized it, but a better fit was G10 - "pinto" is Brazilian slang for "young man's penis", and the page is actually a homophobic attack. He's actually accusing Anthony Cerrato of being not just gay but a pedophile. --NellieBly (talk) 02:31, 2 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
