Hi Saksham, nice to see you around. Do explore - there are articles on everything - and have fun while you are contributing. Rmember to be cool, be bold and don't stick around Kanpur all the time :D -- Amar 05:29, Apr 10, 2005 (UTC)
Hi Saksham, the previous article at Planning Commission was a copyright violation, but couldn't be deleted for technical reasons. You've probably figured that out, but I just want to make sure. I moved the undeletable article out of the way so that it will get deleted when the technical problems are lifted. You can now edit Planning Commission. Please do! :) DanKeshet 18:06, Apr 11, 2005 (UTC)
You removed the 'cleanup' template asking "how does one clean up a stub?" The template was there because the English of the stub didn't make clear who the founder was exactly; it referred to him as being the Vice-Chancellor, but of what? Probably of Delhi University, but greater clarity than that is needed. I've cleaned up the article on the assumption that that's what was meant. Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 16:57, 30 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Ah, found you (always remember to sign your comments). Not to worry — I just thought that, as you'd asked, I'd better answer. Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 16:45, 1 May 2005 (UTC)
Economy of India
editHi, you did some great work on the Delhi School of Economics and the Planning Commission It would be great if you can help us in the rewrite of Economy of India. I have put up a rough list of topics to be covered at Talk:Economy of India/temp and it would be great if you can contribute to it in anyway. Regards. pamri July 1, 2005 14:45 (UTC)
- You are doing some great work on the rewrite. BTW, please vote for this article on INCOTW , although I suspect, we would have finished the article by then, considering the pace at which you are working. :-) regards,
pamri July 6, 2005 05:18 (UTC)
- Just keep a watch over Talk:Economy_of_India for discussions and links posted. BTW, it would be great if you can add references and links to the data. Just take a look at the first section on how it is used. Or you can put the referenced data in brackets and I will format it.
pamri July 7, 2005 02:57 (UTC)
- Currently, the time limit isn't as important as is getting a good & complete article. As soon as all the sections are complete, I will put up a lead text (the intro para) and we will replace the current main article. We will merge whatever is good, but the problem with the current article is it's overt focus on liberalisation & excessive usage of current data. Which reminds me, please try to limit using data/statistics in the article text unless it is absolutely necessar, since they get outdated quickly and they are already there/can be added to the infobox or added as a chart. I have commented about it at Talk:Economic_reforms_in_India. Once this is finished, I plan to work on the eco.history thingy until the rewrite gets selected (hopefully) for WP:INCOTW , which will be on 17th & end by 24th. Then we can, put it at peer review & then to WP:FAC. BTW, I am thinking of using this concept for all the sections like planning, mixed economy, etc.,: give a little background on what it is, historical background & then its status post-liberalisation. pamri July 8, 2005 13:59 (UTC)
- I don't disagree about having the current status, but just suggested it would be good to have a historical perspective along with the post-1991 status. What I objected to was having lots of current statistics in the main article since it gets outdated quickly and it is a pain to update it, which the Economy of India article is a good example of. And that is the reason the infobox on the right was created for and it should be used for that. Anyways, instead of discussing what hasn't been done, I will try to put my idea into practice and then you can suggest if it looks better or not. Your edits are very good, irrespective of your not studying economics and we can use it as a great starting points. I thought you were a DSE alumni, since you have edited that page extensively. pamri July 8, 2005 16:35 (UTC)
- Done. BTW, for every new related article you create, add {{India-eco-stub}} and [[Category:Economy of India]] . Its ok to use figures selectively in the main text, like you have done for the poverty and population sections. Of course, you can always use graphs/charts using fairly stable data. I am waiting for my masters result. Not in DSE though, although I have written the entrance for DSE this year.
pamri July 9, 2005 04:56 (UTC)
- I get your point on the use of images and will stop adding any new images for now and I have commented the agriculture & banking related images for now. The reason the page is distorted right now, is most of the sections are empty and we can judge it once the whole article is complete. For instance, the history section looks good now despite 3 pics and the infobox. Shall we have a rough rule of 1 image for every main section, with exceptions allowed for small informative images or if they greatly add up its value, with the max allowed being 1.5*7sections=10? pamri 08:38, July 24, 2005 (UTC)
The Economy of India is this week's INCOTW. Thank you for voting and showing your commitment to make this the latest India related FA. pamri 09:31, July 27, 2005 (UTC)
- Take a looky at the images in the history section, which seem to be well balanced now. If you still want it to be removed, discuss it on the talk page. BTW, can you please add a reference to the poverty section? Thanks. pamri 09:31, August 4, 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply. I prefer to retain the graph because, it gives a broad macro-economic statstical overview of the colonial period and finding other insightful data is a real pain. See the discussion at Talk:Economy_of_India#Poverty_line. I found plenty of recent estimates in books and the articles linked from the discussion, but not in any govt publication. Anyways, try to find out the same, when you have time. pamri 03:34, August 5, 2005 (UTC)
Please don't add silliness to articles — and don't mark an edit as minor when it isn't. Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 6 July 2005 09:26 (UTC)

Econ of India
editThe article will be a Featured article, there's no doubt about it. Objections if any, will be relatively minor. Why don't you try and feature some articles? :). I want Indian cities and states to be improved. How about improving Kanpur and UP? =Nichalp «Talk»= 07:21, August 15, 2005 (UTC)
- Yes siree, I have put it up at FAC. Add this to your watchlist and you can go ahead with any minor changes to address objections without asking: Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Economy of India/archive1. But I doubt, we will have any. And of course, it wouldn't have been possible without you pitching in. :-)

Re: Is this allowed?
editHi. Thanks for helping make it a FA. I haven't done any serious edits either since I finished EoI. I am looking at creating short FA's related to the EoI or atleast destub EoI related stubs. Work towards getting Planning Commission to FA status and I will pitch in too. 3 paras of the Montek article are copyvio, but those can be reworked, rather than putting a {{copyvio}} tag, which is the usual practice for copyviolations. pamri 06:58, August 29, 2005 (UTC)
Hi, can you please list yourself as a participant at Wikipedia:WikiProject Business and Economics. Thanks. pamri 07:17, August 30, 2005 (UTC)
Album
editRenaming of a file is not possible. You'd have to upload the image again (with the new file name), and have the old one deleted (WP:IFD). Make sure that the image is tagged as {{albumcover}}. =Nichalp «Talk»= 11:47, 22 September 2005 (UTC)
Where are you?
editHi, wassup, busy with your studies? Congrats on getting EoI to the front page. BTW, you might want to check out the edit history. We had more changes, than when it was at peer review/FAC, but it's good its finally getting some attention. --Pamri • Talk 18:48, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
- I have been editing varied stuff till now, but of late, have started reducing my edits. This week, I will try to fix the history section of the EoI article. See if you can pitch in too. Pamri • Talk 14:24, 3 October 2005 (UTC)
- Hey...Thanks a lot for helping me score a half-century with your vote and thanks for the note too. :-) Good work on the Indian Ocean band and I guess you have figured it out. I hardly see you here, so theres no question of you trampling on anyones feet/organs. Why the question? Did anyone flame you? --Pamri • Talk • Reply 03:49, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
Here's something for you: Move it to your user page:
Ah..Ok. You did the right thing. I had put a merge notice for one of the band members, which you have already done. And only one member's page had a discussion (Talk:Amit Kilam) and the afd for that also says you should merge with Indian Ocean. BTW, you already have a FA under your belt, so be confident. :-) --Pamri • Talk • Reply 04:05, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
Image Tagging Image:Antaragni 2004.jpg
editThis media may be deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Antaragni 2004.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Tawker 00:56, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Care24
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Care24 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. RazerTalk 15:45, 4 July 2017 (UTC)
