Hi, and welcome to the Middle-earth project. Your edit is interesting and surely relevant, but you supplied it without a source of any kind. I can't find any Reliable Source that links "untier of knots" to Galadriel, so the connection is much too close to Original Research to go in the main text of a Wikipedia article. I've risked putting it in a footnote, cited to a newspaper article, and wikilinked to Mary, Untier of Knots; the source proves it's not a hoax, but as it doesn't connect the topic to Middle-earth, having it in the article at all is somewhat flaky... - Thanks for your reply.
The section of the article was discussing parallels drawn between Galadriel and Elbereth and the Virgin Mary and referred to the knot in Sam’s rope coming undone when he invoked Galadriel. Mary’s title Untier of Knots suddenly struck me. It’s a minor point but interesting. (There are many many more parallels from Tolkien’s writings connecting his devotion to Mary and characters like Elbereth and Galadriel.) I appreciate your concern and your reply. Thank you. - The point about WP:OR is central here, as it governs everything that goes into an article. Any connection observed by an editor in the world is excluded, unless the exact same connection is made in a WP:RS. It'd be appreciated if you could familiarise yourself with the basics of these core Wikipedia policies, as otherwise all discussion will go round in ever-decreasing circles.
