A weird SPI page
Hello, the redirect Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Abbakar usman/Archive contains an archived sockpuppet investigation. Since you are both the one who moved the page and who archived the case, maybe you know more where this should belong? 𝟙𝟤𝟯𝟺𝐪𝑤𝒆𝓇𝟷𝟮𝟥𝟜𝓺𝔴𝕖𝖗𝟰 (𝗍𝗮𝘭𝙠) 21:14, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for the poke! Yeah I histmerged the case archives but didn't realize the already-open cases had later been archived under the original title by the script. Oops! fixed Ben · Salvidrim! ✉ 21:45, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks, and great that you know what happened in 2015! (sorry for the late reply; I wanted to respond when you answered me, but found out a script was interfering with Convenient Discussions, so I investigated and forgot about this). 𝟙𝟤𝟯𝟺𝐪𝑤𝒆𝓇𝟷𝟮𝟥𝟜𝓺𝔴𝕖𝖗𝟰 (𝗍𝗮𝘭𝙠) 20:36, 3 April 2021 (UTC)

- Following a request for comment, F7 (invalid fair-use claim) subcriterion a has been deprecated; it covered immediate deletion of non-free media with invalid fair-use tags.
- Following a request for comment, page movers were granted the
delete-redirect
userright, which allows moving a page over a single-revision redirect, regardless of that redirect's target.
- When you move a page that many editors have on their watchlist the history can be split and it might also not be possible to move it again for a while. This is because of a job queue problem. (T278350)
- Code to support some very old web browsers is being removed. This could cause issues in those browsers. (T277803)
- A community consultation on the Arbitration Committee discretionary sanctions procedure is open until April 25.

can you unprotect or lower protection? Talk:List_of_Resident_Evil_characters#Splitting_Umbrella. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 180.194.141.59 (talk) 22:34, 25 April 2021 (UTC)
- Not an admin anymore. In any case, whether a standalone article meets English Wikipedia's threshold for inclusion is a matter than can be discussed regardless of the protection level of the title. The article was merged as the result of an AfD, and that was affirmed with protection after a DRV, so the recommended way to go about this would be to draft your proposed article at Draft:Umbrella Corporation and then submit a new DRV arguing why new drafted version meets English Wikipedia's inclusion criteria, surpassing the AfD'ed version. Armageddon outta here!
Hey there! :) You closed the trainwreck Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Armageddon: Tactical Combat, 3000-500 BC back in 2013 - kudos to you for sorting that one out. ;) You redirected Armageddon: Tactical Combat, 3000-500 BC as a result, and I recently moved it to draft space. Do you figure the new version of the article is good enough to move back from drafts into article space? The sources actually present in the article may be light, but the other reviews noted should be able to one day make it much more substantial; regardless, it's a lot better than just two unsourced sentences now. BOZ (talk) 13:02, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
- There are plaintext mentions of reviews but what is needed is actual in-line citations to stuff that is said in the actual references. Ben · Salvidrim! ✉ 14:19, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
- OK, I will move back to redirect until those can be located. BOZ (talk) 14:22, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
- We were able to get access to one of the reviews, so I moved Armageddon back into draft space and added it. I also sought assistance at Wikipedia:WikiProject Resource Exchange/Resource Request#Need reviews for wargame Armageddon: Tactical Combat, 3000-500 BC to see if anyone can dig up more of those for us. BOZ (talk) 18:33, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
Also from that same AFD, we were working on Patrol (board game) in draft space, and so far we have three of the five known reviews in the text and are working on getting copies of the other two. :) BOZ (talk) 13:47, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
Wikiproject Video games Newsletter survey
I'm conducting another survey for the Wikiproject Video games Newsletter. If you could leave your thoughts on the matter it would be greatly appreciated. Every response will be compiled into a MOS-Esque answer that balances the thoughts of our top contributors. You're one of them! The question is as follows:
What would you consider the requirements of making a video game series article? What about franchise articles?
If you would like to respond, please ping me here and write your reply. I'll handle the rest. Thanks in advance, Panini!🥪 14:56, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
- Series article needs SIGCOV in RS'es that is about the series (and not about the individual games), and at least 4 games or 3 games and a spinoff/other media. A franchise article is the same thing but when the topics includes non-video game media. (This is a pretty abritrary line I'm drawing of course). Ben · Salvidrim! ✉ 15:57, 14 May 2021 (UTC)

- Consensus was reached to deprecate Wikipedia:Editor assistance.
- Following a Request for Comment the Book namespace was deprecated.
- Wikimedia previously used the IRC network Freenode. However, due to changes over who controlled the network with reports of a forceful takeover by several ex-staff members, the Wikimedia IRC Group Contacts decided to move to the new Libera Chat network. It has been reported that Wikimedia related channels on Freenode have been forcibly taken over if they pointed members to Libera. There is a migration guide and Wikimedia discussions about this.
- After a Clarification request, the Arbitration Committee modified Remedy 5 of the Antisemitism in Poland case. This means sourcing expectations are a discretionary sanction instead of being present on all articles. It also details using the talk page or the Reliable Sources Noticeboard to discuss disputed sources.
