Hello, I'm Peaceray. An edit that you recently made to Dumfriesshire seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want to practice editing, please use the sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Peaceray (talk) 20:55, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi! sorry I don’t know what you mean by “use the sandbox” I saw a mistake and happily fixed it. Thanks! Samanthajaneh1 (talk) 21:26, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Dumfriesshire. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Peaceray (talk) 21:38, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi, could I ask which edit was disruptive?
I live in Scotland and do know my history and towns here, I saw a mistake and fixed it Samanthajaneh1 (talk) 21:43, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

You may have valid points, but you will not be effective breaking things. Please read Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines & discuss your desired changes at Talk:Dumfriesshire.

Hello, I'm Mutt Lunker. An edit that you recently made to Hawick seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want to practice editing, please use the sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. You appear to be introducing numerous factual errors to articles with the inaccurate edit summary "fixed typo", when no genuine typos have been addressed. Please stop. Mutt Lunker (talk) 21:53, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi Matt. Scotland has no “counties” and this is accurate. Could you please correct these mistakes? Thanks. Samanthajaneh1 (talk) 22:00, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

In Wikipedia we cover things that formerly existed; there is no justification in removing mention of historical entities when that is what is under discussion, even worse to change the mention to some modern, non-equivalent entity. We have articles about dead people too. Mutt Lunker (talk) 22:09, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Im new to wiki and i am unsure of how to edit properly as i have stated prior. This is not “historically accurate” As I have said, Scotland has no “counties” and this is accurate information. Could you please correct this? Samanthajaneh1 (talk) 22:11, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Again, best to discuss this at Talk:Hawick & Talk:Dumfriesshire. Plus, I want to emphasize reading Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines, which is a English Wikipedia behavioral guideline. Peaceray (talk) 22:18, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

I have contacted them now thank you Samanthajaneh1 (talk) 22:26, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
