Hi, I admire your contributions in the Philippine article. However, I just wish you would not disallow the interactive map link provided by KABEET.COM in the external link. It is an interactive flash map website (purely Filipino made) and the file can not be uploaded in wiki. The maps of KABEET.COM may not be as gorgeous as the google earth map, yet it has the heart of Filipino ingenuity. Wikipedia is no doubt a breakthrough in FREE information, and adding this link is a help to researchers too, as testified by viewers who post their comments. Maybe if you can check the map further, you can see what we want to say. Try this one Thank you. Sambuddy 15:14, 9 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Well for one thing, it doesn't show up in firefox. And it's redundant since there is a link exactly for that reason already. If you really want, go spam at Wikipilipinas, LOL. --Howard the Duck 18:20, 11 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Please read the external links guideline to see why kabeet cannot be added. First of all, the site seems to contain too much advertising. Second, the map itself cannot be viewed properly on Firefox (no map at all cannot be seen), so it's not too useful for many Wikipedia users. --seav 18:30, 11 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. For that matter, showing the map alone would best answer the issue then. THIS WILL SHOW THE MAP ONLY AND NOT THE ENTIRE PAGE Which will answer the issue about the first reason, "too much advertising". And second, it will display properly in Firefox. Well, I've checked the maps loaded by the barebones swf file and the streets in Las PiƱas are not even labeled. I would rather link to mapcentral.ph, but I'm not even linking to that one. Furthermore, your web site, while promising, does not seem to be notable enough to be worthy of a link. According to Technorati, less than a handful of blogs have talked about Kabeet. There are a few more results in Google Blog Search but still too few. Also, according to Google, not much is linking to your site. I haven't heard of Kabeet before you started adding the links here in Wikipedia and Kabeet is definitely not as well-known as ClickTheCity.com. By including your links, it appears that you are using Wikipedia's popularity to promote your site, which a lot of people frown upon. --seav 15:36, 24 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

GOT THE POINT

Well, as you have said, the map (or the site as you said) is promising. Wouldn't it be enough to be seen? Does wiki have to require that a site is super popular in order to be linked? Well, the fact that I'm willing to show up even the map alone should be enough to show the sincerity eh? No adds, no banner.

Oh by the way, las pinas map is still using our version 2 map, but it is actually labeled. The label of the streets will show up once the zoom in button is clicked.

Well, Thanks for the explanation. Sambuddy 11:10, 26 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
