 Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.
Just a quick note on short descriptions: when a page has the short description "None", that means it's been intentionally left without one because the page title is self-explanatory. Thanks! AntiDionysius (talk) 00:04, 12 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please don't add frivolous or non-real records to tennis bios

edit

These records you added are pretty lame as records go. I never see any sources use them. And even if they were real they'd be super trivial and need to go on their career statistics pages, not on their main biography. Plus they are in the wrong section... they would be below the career statistics section. Bring these items to the talk pages so others can properly vet their inclusion worthiness. Thanks. Yes, I really appreciate the fact that you change some records. But you really cannot monopolized the whole page and delete everything. You could delete unnecessary section. Samcaoson2009 (talk) 04:59, 25 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Everything I saw was trivial or not a real record. It's on the wrong page if it even belongs anywhere. If challenged, you need to prove to other editors that this stuff is vital to their pages. Fyunck(click) (talk) 05:03, 25 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Alright, whatever, you can take over. Samcaoson2009 (talk) 05:05, 25 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
By the way, I put in those records for educational purpose. Samcaoson2009 (talk) 05:06, 25 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Records are records, that is what the "records and achievements" category for. You may seem them as trivial records, but others don't. Samcaoson2009 (talk) 05:14, 25 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
These are no records. They MUST be readily sourced in publications like tennis magazines or books. These are trivial fantasy records... like adding Serena Williams shoe size just because we know it. Fyunck(click) (talk) 07:26, 25 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Well, Serena shoe size has nothing to do with Tennis records at tournaments at all. Samcaoson2009 (talk) 07:31, 25 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
I added in sources for Aryna Sabalenka and Jannik Sinner, and I will continue adding in more sources. When you have time, please have a look at them. Thank you so much for reminding me that I need to add in references. Samcaoson2009 (talk) 08:26, 25 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
