Nomination of Elisabeth Mace for deletion

Sanic (3rd nomination) 9 said keep 8 said merge

You said "rough consensus against a standalone article". That isn't true since 9 said to Keep it since it passed the general notability guidelines, and only 8 said to merge it. As I stated 13 hours before you closed it, Sonic the Hedgehog fandom never had the merge tag on it, so those watching that article weren't aware of this discussion. The rules state the target has to have it. They only tagged Sonic the Hedgehog (character) when this discussion started on 23 August 2026. As I pointed out, they won't merge it, they'll just delete it, or over 90% of it, destroying valid referenced content. Since mergers are now discussed at AfD, my understanding is that the AfD rules apply and only the article to be merged needs to be tagged. Sandstein 05:29, 8 September 2026 (UTC)

Undeletion request: The Independent (Dominica)

Deleted back in March 2018 per WP:NNEWSPAPER; yearning to see this restored, en route to conversion as a redirect to List of newspapers in Dominica (which I'm busy improving at this writing). --Slgrandson (How's my egg-throwing coleslaw?) 06:11, 11 September 2026 (UTC)

The article was one sentence long ("The Independent was a newspaper published in Dominica from 1996 to 2000.") and had one reference, to the newspaper's own website. Sandstein 14:36, 11 September 2026 (UTC)
