Sandy—in the second template, I think "substitute" can't be a transitive verb. "The information provided here cannot substitute for the advice of a medical professional." Cannot be subsituted for would work. Or make it a noun: "is no substitute for", which has a slightly commercial ring about it, but I can't think of anything better at the moment.
