Image:Sangil photo 1.jpg
editHi, can you take a look at Image:Sangil photo 1.jpg, you've indicated that you made the photo yourself, and I've taged it as GFDL presumed. If you would indeed like to release it under the GFDL license, please change {{GFDL-Presumed}} to {{GFDL}}. If not, please place the approrpiate license tag on the page. Thank you! --lightdarkness (talk) 03:24, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
I saw you were recently involved with this page's discussion, as such I was wondering if you think it is necessesary to have half of this page devoted to History, I understand why we should go back to Ottoman times but should we really go all the way back to Roman times especially since we already have a History of Palestine article.- Moshe Constantine Hassan Al-Silverburg | Talk 02:10, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
I completley agree my proposal was to go back as far as the ottoman period and maybe include somthing about why the Romans named the province palestine.- Moshe Constantine Hassan Al-Silverburg | Talk 08:40, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
Your revert on Palestinian territories

In case we Palestinians ever get annihilated (something I fear is getting closer and closer every day), I hope to convince you of something:
I realize that Israelis usually lump all Arabs together - but the truth is that I can tell you as a Palestinian that I feel no close relation to the native (non-refugee) people of the surrounding countries. It's really funny when you write "they (Palestinians) have not been allowed to become citizens of the Countries where they currently reside, they have remained 'Palestinian' by default" - because even if they were made citizens - as in Jordan - they would still remain Palestinian by ethnicity. Also, let me ask you personally - would YOU want to become a citizen of a place like Saudi Arabia or Egypt? My guess is no - and I can tell you that I wouldn't either - for reasons that are probably very similar to yours.
So I hope that you realize that most Palestinians completely abhor Arab regimes. The one thing Hamas has done once it got elected is try to reach out to the West (okay okay and Iran but hey, they offered money), whereas Fatah leaders always went to kiss Arab leader's asses and ask for money. So I guess what I'm trying to say is, as a Palestinian, please don't make the mistake of lumping all the 'Arabs' together in one basket. I've known enough Israelis to know that what I am saying may sound very strange to you and contrary to everything you have learned, but you hopefully learn new things every day. We Palestinians are victims of the Arab countries as much as Israelis are (actually probably much more). Ramallite (talk) 05:03, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

Begin spillover
editHey Sangil... Re: Post-Zionism v. Left Zionism... You are, of course, correct to point out that there are elements of left zionism which advocate the perspective which I presented within our mini-debate on the Begin page, but, at the same time, I do believe that a few specific post-zionist figures have done a far better job at provoking a global debate about past and current Israeli policies than any Israeli political parties/figures... I support this, just as I support the existance of an equally embittered group of American social critics, for I think that every nation should have a school of thought which dredges through the dirt of the past and present and tries to make society discuss the implications of their past and current actions. Some of the post-zionists surely go to far in their implications, but I think that others (including, in his better moments, Benny Morris) simply help individuals learn about Israel's "warts"--and, as we all know, every nation has it's own warts to hide (mine, in particular... but that's another story entirely). If and when the post-Zionists go too far (and I'm sure that Benny Morris has done just that, at some time or other), what the hell... He's given you a damn good reason to grab a Goldstar.
In the end, I think that the more egregious arguements which are presented by the post-zionists will be ignored (for two reasons: 1) the majority of the Western world will disagree with them; and 2) the anti-semites are still preoccupied with the Protocols of the Elders of Zion), but their stronger arguements will remind people of a fact frequently forgotten over here in the States--the fact that the Palestinians are human, regardless of what a specific leader or movement claims to stand for. I have no doubt that you know that, but I have a feeling that you may be giving the rest of the world a little too much credit (again, I come from a nation in which less than half of the population can locate on a map the nation that we are currently at war with)...
Anyway. I hope that Abbas goes through with his referendum and is able to carry the bulk of the Palestinian population with him. Until our next wiki debate, (Mingus ah um 08:16, 30 May 2006 (UTC))
Unspecified source for Image:Yitzhak shamir.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Yitzhak shamir.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Bkell (talk) 03:43, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
- If you got this image from the Dutch Wikipedia, please provide a link to that image, and give the original source. —Bkell (talk) 03:43, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
List of Hamas suicide attacks has been proposed for deletion. An editor felt this article is inherently non-neutral. Please review Wikipedia:Neutral point of view for the relevant policy. If you can improve the article or move it to a more neutral title to address these concerns, please do so. It would be a good idea to explain your reasoning on the talk page before moving the article.
If no one objects to the deletion within five days by removing the "prod" notice, the article may be deleted without further discussion. If you remove the prod notice, the deletion process will stop, but if an editor is still not satisfied that the article meets Wikipedia guidelines, it may be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion for consensus. NickelShoe (Talk) 00:45, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
Dear friend
editYou may be misunderstanding. NicleShoe is not the person who marked the article for deletion. She is merely alerting you to the factthat somebody else did. As do I: The page you have edited T..Martyrs brigade, and some related pages, has been listed for proposed deletion. I have removed the deletion tag in order that there can be a full discussion. It will undoubtedly be listed on AfD within the next day or two. I am taking no position on the issue at this time; I de-prod any page where I think may involve religious or political controversy to avoid possible bias by having a fuller discussion.DGG 01:08, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
Hi. When you uploaded Image:Sangil photo 1.jpg, you did not specify complete source and copyright information. Another user subsequently tagged it with {{GFDL-presumed}} and, for some time, it has existed on Wikipedia under the assumption that you created the image and you agreed to license it under the GFDL. This assumption, however well-meaning, is not legally sufficient and the tag is being phased out. Images using it are being deleted.
This image has been tagged for deletion and will be deleted in one week if adequate copyright information is not provided.
If you, personally, are the author of this content, meaning that you took the photograph yourself or you created the chart yourself (and it does not use any clipart that you did not create), please retag the image with a free image copyright tag that correctly describes your licensing intentions, usually {{GFDL-self}} or {{PD-self}}. Please also make sure if you have not already done so that you write a good description of what the image depicts, when you took the photo, and other important details. This will allow Wikipedia to continue using the image.
If you did not create the image or if it is derived from the copyrighted works of others, please keep in mind that most images on the internet are copyrighted and are not suitable for use on Wikipedia. Wikipedia respects the copyrights of others and does not use images unless we know that they have been freely licensed. Any creative work is automatically copyrighted, even if it lacks a copyright notice. Unless the copyright holder has specifically disclaimed their rights to the image and released it under the GFDL or another compatible license, we cannot use it. If you did not create the image, and cannot make the image compliant with Wikipedia:Non-free content, simply do nothing and it will be deleted in a week. All other non-free images must follow these rules.
Please feel free to contact me on my talk page or leave a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions with any questions you may have. Thank you. Aksibot 07:33, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Unspecified source for Image:King_david_hotel_bombing.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:King_david_hotel_bombing.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 18:16, 11 September 2007 (UTC). Non-free rationale for File:Mbegin2.jpg
editThanks for uploading or contributing to File:Mbegin2.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Your account will be renamed
editHello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Sangil. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Sangil~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. You're one hell of a gishum
The file File:Reading israel night.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Low-res personal image with no context therefore no discernible use.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ♠PMC♠ (talk) 19:30, 13 July 2019 (UTC)
