Mandatory paid editing disclosure

edit

Hello Santoshwankhede. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Force Motors, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Santoshwankhede. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Santoshwankhede|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. ~Anachronist (talk) 16:05, 11 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the disclosure on your user page.
Refrain from making any substantive changes to Force Motors. Wikipedia isn't a public relations channel for your company.
You may make minor corrections to spelling, grammar, dates, and names. You may add citations to reliable sources that are independent of your company. You may also revert obvious vandalism. Anything more substantive, propose it on the talk page Talk:Force Motors for a neutral editor to review. You may preface your proposal with the template {{edit COI}} to cause your proposal to be listed on a category page that is monotired by some editors. ~Anachronist (talk) 16:54, 14 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

You are adding promotional content to the article. That is not "mandatory", but rather it's prohibited. You have been reverted again.
You made a disclosure, then you removed it. What, exactly, is your association with Force Motors? ~Anachronist (talk) 14:06, 18 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi Anachronis, I'm working with force Motors in marketing department here is my official email ID- swankhede1atforcemotors.com, I'm just trying to add correct content. requesting you to please help us to update the same. Even if you are a volunteer or unpaid intern, you are still an employee, and therefore you are considered a paid editor in Wikipedia's terms. Please restore the disclosure you removed.
Because you have a conflict of interest, you cannot make substantive changes to the article, as I explained above. Propose them on the talk page. ~Anachronist (talk) 13:54, 19 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

As I stated above, propose your changes on Talk:Force Motors for other editors to review. Preface your proposal with the template {{edit COI}}.

I can tell you that much of the above would not be accepted due to its promotional tone. Wikipedia cannot be used as a public relations channel.

Also, I advise against proposing a wholesale change as you did above. Take it a section at a time, and phrase your proposal as "change X to Y" or "add X after Y" or "remove X". You must explain the reasoning for each change and reference a source to verify the change. ~Anachronist (talk) 06:29, 20 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

The edit request

edit

Thanks for making an edit request on Talk:Force Motors.

It would be best if you didn't propose the same promotional language that already got reverted multiple times. Your request will likely be declined on that basis.

Also, it is not clear from your request what is original and what is new. I suggest you add some boldface headings to distinguish those parts. ~Anachronist (talk) 18:14, 21 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
