Hello, Sara carman, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. Ask question

edit

Hi! Your question has been answered on Ask and I wanted to let you know. One of my colleagues wrote:

If reliable sources disagree, include both sets of information. If the majority of sources spell someone's name one way, but another source spells it differently, use the more common spelling, but include the other spelling in the article ("also spelled XXXX") and be sure to include the source.

On a side note, this would also apply to major claims, such as people's jobs, interpretation of statements, and sexuality. If most of the sources say that a painting or poem was meant to represent a hurdle in the artist's life, then the article should give more weight to that idea than say, only 1-2 people claiming that the artwork represented the artist's love of horses. (So in other words, the common interpretation would be a couple of paragraphs, whereas the less common interpretation would be maybe a couple of sentences.) Ways to improve Emma Cadwalader-Guild

edit

Hello, Sara carman,

Welcome to Wikipedia and thanks for creating Emma Cadwalader-Guild! I edit here too, under the username Rosguill}} and it's nice to meet you:-)

I wanted to let you know that I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:-

Please use fewer citations. You almost never need more than one per claim, and it makes the article look sketchy. Very good work otherwise.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Rosguill}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.
