Besides the welcome, I wanted to mention (since I've seen you around on other electoral reform websites): Making edits to articles you have some personal connection to is allowed. However, please be extra cautious when upholding Wikipedia:NPOV. Please be sure to review Wikipedia's WP:COI policy and disclose any possible conflicts of interest, including any possible employment, financial, or academic ties to the articles you edit. Thanks for the feedback on both points. I'd be happy to put up something on my potential COI, I see the example but I'm not clear where or how that would be done in my case. 2601:1C2:C180:7770:C0AA:B1F3:8AE9:4D35 (talk) 03:15, 24 June 2024 (UTC)

I would:

1. Put a disclosure over at Talk: STAR voting, using Template: Connected contributor.
2. Put a disclosure on this page using Template: User COI.
3. Request WP:Peer review of STAR voting.

And if you know anyone else who's previously edited related articles and might have a COI, they should do the same. It's also worth describing the nature of the COI, and in particular whether you currently receive any payment from any organizations related to STAR. Editing with a potential COI isn't technically forbidden in 100% of all cases, but you should use the review function described on the COI page when correcting anything more complex than a typo.

(By the way, I suggest making sure you're logged in before making any Wiki edits. Editing from both an IP and a separate account can result in a WP:Sock misunderstanding, because IP editing is a common way to create the appearance of false consensus.)
