Son Goku

I seemed to blindly left out king in the translation of kaiō-ken. As kaiō is literally "world king" which was pointed out in the appearance section. So the translation would be "world king fist". The buku-jutsu translation is wrong. buku comes out "air dance" or "dance on air", and jutsu is technique. Originaly, I found in an old Japanese-to-English dictionary at one of the branches my local library the word genki came out "good spirit". The Random House Webster's Pocket Japanese Dictionary I currently have states it as "health energy".

I also just remembered that Goku's very first technique was jaken (ジャン拳) which is a direct implication of jan-ken-pon. But what chapter did he first use it?

There are also the the super version of the kamehameha and genki dama appropriately called super kamehameha (超かめはめ波, chō kamehameha) and super genki dama (超元気玉, chō genki dama). Now I'm aware that in a genki dama Goku would collect the genki in himself and form into a sphere in his hand, and in a super genki dama Goku would have the genki collect and form into a sphere in the exosphere. But I don't know what differenciates basic and super kamehamehas other than Goku calling out "Chō!". Sarujo (talk) 22:50, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

It'd be a good idea to check one of the Dragon Ball DVDs to see what the dub did call Goku's staff. It may have been "Power Poll", "Power Pole", "Powerpole" or "Power pole". Thoughts? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 16:37, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

I didn't think about a particular spelling. So I went to the official site, and this is all I could find.

"Goku was taught martial arts by his late adoptive grandfather, Gohan, who raised him out in the wilderness. He is extremely strong, agile, and virtually fearless. He'll take on any fight no matter what the odds are if he thinks that someone has been wronged, and he'll usually win. That's because Goku is not just you typical eight-year-old. That section could definitely use some breaking down. (Maybe use Sonic's appearances section as inspiration?) If it gets too big, you could always split it off into Son Goku in other media. I have started writing a section personality. What I have so far is:

"As a child Goku was a very naive child, due to his secluded upbring in the forest of Mt. Paozu. Which was to the point that he could only differenciate genders by patting a person gentals. He also viewed technological advances as forms of sorcery as shown in chapter ?? when he drew his bo and call Bulma a witch for activating one of her capsules and mistaking her car for a larger monster."

"In general, Goku is viewed by the ones who know him deeply as a man with a heart and soul pure a crystal. Who's morality and mentality seems to make even the most harden of apponets his allie. As nearly all his friends were original his enemies. Despite the severity of the danger at hand, his all around good boy nature manages to reasured others that everything would turn out okay in the end."

I own the mostly Z films, episodes, soundtracks etc. DB stuff to my name is some soundtracks. The DB episodes, I guess was holding out for Funimation to get distrabution rights for those thirteen episodes. But I can see what was writen in the liner inside that American soundtrack.

I change the spelling because poll and pole have two diffent definitions. Poll is a method of voting. While pole, as the disambiguation page states, is A solid cylindrical object with length greater than its diameter e.g. I just checked Dead Zone on YouTube to see if Goku says it, and, as seen here at 4:46 he does. Well, If there's one thing I just learned from my Dead Zone revisit. Is my Pioneer PIDA-1336V copy will probliy need replacing. Not with anything Funimation mind you, another PIDA-1336V. Kinda, but more like catalogue numbers on music CDs. Ironically, the ISBN is now recognizing DVDs. Starting with Broly Second Coming ISBN 1-4210-0684-7, Bio Broly ISBN 1-4210-0696-0, Fusion Reborn ISBN 1-4210-0705-3, Wrath of the Dragon ISBN 1-4210-0710-X, and the season one boxset is ISBN 1-4210-0004-0. Dragon Ball manga, volume 1, chapter 2. ISBN 1-56931-920-0. The title of the chapter is "No Balls!". Bulma tosses the 'hoipoi capsule' on page 37, then you see it reveals a house on the next page; that's when it happens ;) Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 04:03, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Ok, in episode #21 Kaio-sama he remarks to the leter of that his heart and soul are pure as crystal and in episode #123 Krillin remarks that something like Goku could make his enimies his allies, as he once hated Goku. How could I've been so stupid. The answer was right here next to me. Chapter 212 or 18. "His power knows no bounds...and yet his soul is clearer then crystal...I never thought such a being could exist in the corporeal world" and "Too bad his sense of humor wasn't on the same level...well, next time...". Ok, Does that Trunks: The Story feature Bulma's decription of Goku to Trunks as after he awakes from his comma?

He certainly was strong as well, but no matter what terrible thing happened. You felt like he would take care of things for you. He always had a way of making you feel like that. Bulma.

Ok, as I recall as Goku goes Capsule Corporation for the ship to Namek, Roshi and Yajirobi conversate over Goku. Something like:

Yajirobi: He's abit crazy.

Roshi: Well, ehh. He's a Saiyan, fighting is in his blood.

The rest escape me. Was that conversation in the manga? It might be in volume five. Also I need the commentary Vegeta gives durring Goku's fight with Kid Buu in the final volume, if it's there. Something like "Kakarotto, I tip my hat to you". Sarujo (talk) 23:45, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

So He doesn't go into a monologue on the fact that Goku had managed to surpass him at every turn. And he tried using some of his tactics, like starting a family. Then again that really sounds long winded. Like a crutial time consumer. As I recall, that episode used a few remade flash from past episodes. Televikko game

I ran across the interactive Televikko game Dragon Ball Z: Get Together! Goku World (ドラゴンボールZてれびっこ あつまれ!悟空ワールド, Doragon Bōru Zetto Terebikko Atsumare! Gokū Wārudo). I had know about this for awhile now. But for the life of me I can't find anything reliable as this would go great in the Appearance in other media sections for Goku, Gohan, Trunks, Bulma, and Krillin.
