Exclamation points

I saw your edit about the "!votes" notation at CDA, and I'd like to explain to you what's going on. It actually is not an error. It is a custom at Wikipedia to write it that way, to indicate that consensus is not determined simply by counting votes. This is explained at Wikipedia:Polling is not a substitute for discussion#Straw poll guidelines, near the bottom of that section. --Tryptofish (talk) 17:48, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
