Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Saumyaraghav. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Policybazaar, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. Editing for the purpose of advertising or promotion is not permitted. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID). Thank you. Grayfell (talk) 09:56, 8 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

April 2018

  Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Talk:Policybazaar, you may be blocked from editing. Grayfell (talk) 08:23, 7 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Not doing anything like that. I have just been staying a logical and obvious point about why the company page should not be deleted. However, if stating the obvious is soapboxing then it may very well defy logic. Please do not work with a personal vendetta against any individual or page on Wikipedia as it has been the case with you since I have joined wikipedia. Saumyaraghav (talk) 08:34, 7 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

You recreated a talk page several minutes after it had been deleted. That talk page contained the same content. Did you not even stop to think that it was deleted for a reason? Did you care what that reason was? Now there are three accounts all spamming the deleting admin's talk page about this article. Nobody is foolish enough to think this is a coincidence, and meatpuppetry is not permitted. I am involved to keep spam off of Wikipedia, and have kept the article and your talk page on my watchlist because of these past promotional editing problems. Are you interested in helping us build an encyclopedia, or are you only here to promote your company? It's a simple question. Grayfell (talk) 09:20, 7 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

What there accounts are we talking about here? Are you talking about three accounts in my name? I am the only one corresponding with you about the page for a long time now. I am not here for promotional stuff. In fact, I have been researching to build content on aggregators as discussed with you earlier. Since then I have had not updated anything to the article. So yeah I am not into any promotions per say. Also I have no clue about 3 users that you have mentioned. As I must have mentioned earlier, I have been trying to understand the Wiki ecosystem, so i am sure you have noticed no activity from me. And I can confirm there is no activity from anyone endorsed by me or the company. Saumyaraghav (talk) 09:39, 7 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Really? The talk page content you recreated was extremely similar to the one that was already deleted. Again, nobody is foolish enough to accept that this is a coincidence, so would you like to rethink this approach?
The article has been deleted per community discussion, which for the record, I did not participate in: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Policybazaar. Once you have completed your research, perhaps we can discuss what to do about the article, but recreating the talk page is pointless and disruptive. Grayfell (talk) 10:00, 7 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Talk page stalker. Saumyaraghav, Policybazaar has now been deleted four times form Wikipedia, so despite the meatpuppet claiming the company is great and notable, the actual fact is that Wikipedia has become acutely aware that policybazaar should not be here. Someone should salt the page, BTW.104.163.158.37 (talk) 07:06, 9 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
