Nomination of Kaleem Haider Sharar for deletion

My opinion is to keep this page and also add link to literature section of Urdu language

I have added citations from the following reliable sources

1) News and Publications from daily newspaper, published in various daily newspaper columns issued in Urdu Language from time to time and distributed in India from 1982 to 2014 (resources available with me).
2) link to scanned copies of book and snapshots of actual pages from book.
  a) Awarah Sultanpuri. Nayab Hain Ham. Urdu Qabila, Mumbai, 1997.
  b) Khaliquzzaman Nusrat. Shora-e-Maharashtra. Kainat Publication, Bhiwandi, 2014.

7The Biography is about a Poet who is known to me, personally. He was a very notable personality for his literary work and poetry, in Urdu language all over India, as you can read through article.

I have written this article because Urdu is also a language option available on Wikipedia.org See Wikipedia Article on Urdu Language . I can see many articles on various Urdu Language Poets on Wikipedia viz. Mirza Ghalib, Mir Taqui Mir, Allama Iqbal etc, for their contributions to Urdu Language Literature.

My opinion is that this article should not be deleted and it can also be linked to Urdu Literature or Urdu Poetry section. Sayedminhal (talk) 16:05, 4 January 2016 (UTC)

Hello. The main problem right now is that the article is mostly sourced to work written by the poet himself. We need independent sources. Did anyone unrelated to Kaleem Haider Sharar write about him in a reliable source? Did he win any major awards? If so, add it to the article, go to the deletion discussion and point this out. Hi, Happy squirrel thanks for your comment, but here the references are given from daily news paper columns published daily in news paper of a Metropolitan.

The news paper are independent bodies which have published his poetry on demand from public. There must be a significant readership for Sharar's poetry so his work was "frequently" published in daily newspaper.

Here is the answer to your points: Notability: Kaleem Haider Sharar is "Notable" for being a Popular Urdu Language Poet, Author and Writer living in Mumbai area of Maharashtra Province in India.

Verification: 2 book reference already given inline in article and other news paper article references
