Michael Akers

edit

Thanks for your offer on improving above article. It is much appreciated. I tried to create what I thought was a good article after watching Gone, But Not Forgotten. Of course what the biography article lacked were reliable sources. If you can provide reliable external sources about some basic information about his work, it will be great. THis will certainly solidify further the notability and the chance that it stays in Wikipedia. If you add further materials to the page, even better. I am ready to offer you any help in editing, in case this is necessary. All you need to do is to inform me about it. Many regards werldwayd (talk) 20:04, 7 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the updates and the new links provided. I think it was a good job, but still we need further sources actually. But at least we have sources on the film "Morgan" to add to his well-known Gone, But Not Forgotten. But still we need some additional sources to take out the note that I left for BLP sources with a new date August 2012. Many thanks for your contributions. Once you add a couple of the new refernece links, inform me and I can remove the remaining note as well. werldwayd (talk) 20:48, 8 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
Since you are at it, it is very worth our while to improve on the two-liner we have on United Gay Network, which is a sub-section and a referral when you type United Gay Network. Could you add a few sentences and a reliable source on that section? This will shed further light on Akers' activity and impact in the film industry. werldwayd (talk) 04:46, 10 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
I'd rather keep the section for United Gay Network as it is an integral part of his work. This is the best place to put it as we don't have an article on UGM. For just mentioning of films in filmography, we don't need citations on every item. This is valid for the text of the article, but for his work in Filmography it can stay intact to reflect all his work actually. Once again many thanks for your inputs werldwayd (talk) 14:43, 11 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
Thanks very much for your great edits making this a far more extensive page. Thanks also for the coverage of the activities of UGN co-founded by Akers. I have made further clean-up edits of the texts you added and the obvious over-wikifying now removed. In any case this section is very worthy of the whole raison-d'être of this company. As a token of appreciation for your excellent work, I have now established a page for Morgan (film). It also now appears in the List of lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender-related films and a number of categories. It is also accessible from Michael Akers' page as well. Please do take a look as it obviously contains some of the work you did for UGN when you were covering Morgan there in the section. Feel free to add to that page as well. Finally, I have removed the note abnout need for additional references as it is now well-referenced. werldwayd (talk) 18:15, 11 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
