Information icon Hello, Scott.garthwaite. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Punk Chef, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. Editing for the purpose of advertising or promotion is not permitted. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Melcous (talk) 13:12, 1 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

  Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Punk Chef. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you.   Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits to Punk Chef while logged out. Making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. Melcous (talk) 23:24, 1 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Punk Chef, you may be blocked from editing. Melcous (talk) 23:24, 1 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hello and thanks for your message on my talk page. There are two reasons your edits have been reverted:

  1. You have a clear conflict of interest and so should not be editing the article about yourself directly. Instead, if there are specific changes you want to suggest, you should note these on the article's talk page and other editors can have a look and see if they can/should be added.
  2. Many of the edits you have made have been promotional - wikipedia is an encyclopedia and all content should be written in a neutral tone and be verifiable by reliable, independent, secondary sources.

Thanks Melcous (talk) 21:54, 2 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
