Welcome!

Hello, Scottmcarthur, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

But I am afraid your article at Scott McArthur will not last, because you are not famous enough to be in an encyclopedia. I suggest you move it to your userpage Thue | talk 20:28, 12 Nov 2004 (UTC)

  • Oh, and don't mind too much what they say at vfd. They have a tradition of not thinking before they talk... Thue | talk 20:29, 12 Nov 2004 (UTC)
    • There's a rule against contributing anything autobiographical, by the way. When you create a page, the notice at the top of the page does say "Please do not create an article to promote yourself, a website, a product, or a business." Your article on Scott McArthur is, however, just fine as content for your user page, and this is where material of this kind belongs. Welcome to Wikipedia, sorry for the rough start. • I've taken the liberty of moving the old "Scott McArthur" page in as your user page. Welcome to Wikipedia. Rossami (talk) 07:44, 16 Nov 2004 (UTC)
