- Your one source is an FDA letter to a company that used false claims when marketing adrafinil, and you are using this as a basis to determine that adrafinil is unlawful, despite this not being the case. You have a history of changing this across Wikipedia.
- It is well-established across case law that adrafinil, when marketed correctly per the DSHEA, is legal in the United States. Seabasscampos (talk) 16:01, 5 May 2023 (UTC)
Dear user,
This is not true. Adrafinil is not a dietary supplement as defined by law, yet again FDA reinforced this. Here is more info, now please prove your claim adrafinil is a dietary supplement as defined by 21 U.S. Code 321(ff). Please prove how adrafinil is a vitamin, mineral, herb or botanical, amino acid, or dietary substance for use by man to supplement the diet by increasing the total dietary intake. The burden of proof is on you to back your claims that adrafinil is a dietary supplement. It is not my job to do that. I’ve already done that for my position, please do the same for yours. Ultimately, you have done nothing so far to prove your claim that adrafinil is a dietary supplement. All you have done so far is undid my edits.
Thank you for your understanding,
- JoeBo82

Did you read your source?
editDear user,
I am respectfully asking whether you read your cited source? The source does not claim Adrafinil is an approved new dietary ingredient and in fact rejects this argument; “For the reasons discussed above, the information in your notification is incomplete and does not provide an adequate basis to conclude that "Adrafinil", when used under the conditions recommended or suggested in the labeling of your product, will reasonably be expected to be safe. Therefore, your product may be adulterated under 21 U.S.C. § 342(f)(l){B) as a dietary supplement that contains a new dietary ingredient for which there is inadequate information to provide reasonable assurance that such ingredient does not present a significant or wireasonable risk of illness or injury. Introduction of such a product into interstate commerce is prohibited under 21U.S.C.§33 1(a) and (v)”. Please let me know if you thoroughly read this source before making your claim that Adrafinil is an approved New Dietary Ingredient. Furthermore, do you have any more recent documentation for your claim since this source is older than both the 2019 criminal proceedings and 2019 warning letter.
Thanks,
