Champion jockey

edit

Hi Seivad: Thanks for updating the Champion Jockey page, but I think you're being a bit premature. The RACE for champion jockey is on, but the WINNER won't be determined until the end of the year! Let's update it then. A lot can happen between now and next April, and no-one is 2009 Champion Jockey yet! MeegsC | Talk 17:11, 21 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Edit on Chester City Council

edit

I believe the edit I made said that councillors would be seeking re-election "in 2008", but as the elections had passed this could not be right, I simply took it out because it could not be correct. If the councillors are seeking re-election in 2009, 2010 and 2011 then feel free to amend it, but at this point in time 2008 could not be accurate. Darrenhusted (talk) 08:07, 22 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

List of Chester City Councillors listed at RfD

edit

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect List of Chester City Councillors. Since you had some involvement with the List of Chester City Councillors redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). —Snigbrook 11:05, 7 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Equinox

edit

Hi, you recently requested speedy deletion of the article Equinox (The band MK). The author of this article has placed a hangon tag on the page, and therefore I have started a deletion discussion on the article's talk page, if you would like to contribute. Thanks, Seivad (talk) 14:50, 28 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Correct link is Equinox (The Band MK) :) - Kingpin13 (talk) 14:52, 28 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, just noticed my error. Seivad (talk) 14:54, 28 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
Eh, Deletion discussions are not held on talk pages, but should take place on articles for Deletion; The Criteria's for speedy deletion procedure is completely seperate from AFD. If an admin denies the CSD (Or if you think that the CSD a7 was misplaced) feel free to create a new discussion at WP:AFD. There is, however, little merit in creating a deletion discussion at a talk page, since nearly no editor will know that there is such a discussion there in the first place. :). Thanks for the support

edit

I would like to thank you for coming out and participating in my Request for Adminship, which closed unsuccessfully at (48/8/6) based on my withdrawal. I withdrew because in my opinion I need to focus on problems with my content contributions before I can proceed with expanding my responsibilities. Overall I feel that the RfA has improved me as an editor and in turn some articles which in my eyes is successful. Thank you again for your support. Cheers and happy editing. --kelapstick (talk) 18:24, 1 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have decided to put on a mini-contest within the November 2013 monthly disambiguation contest, on Saturday, November 23 (UTC). I will personally give a $20 Amazon.com gift card to the disambiguator who fixes the most links on that server-day (see the project page for details on scoring points). Since we are not geared up to do an automated count for that day, at 00:00, 23 November 2013 (UTC) (which is 7:00 PM on November 22, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the project page leaderboard. I will presume that anyone who is not already listed on the leaderboard has precisely nine edits. At 01:00, 24 November 2013 (UTC) (8:00 PM on November 23, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the leaderboard at that time (the extra hour is to give the board time to update), and I will determine from that who our winner is. I will credit links fixed by turning a WP:DABCONCEPT page into an article, but you'll have to let me know me that you did so. Here's to a fun contest. Note that according to the Daily Disambig, we currently have under 256,000 disambiguation links to be fixed. If everyone in the disambiguation link fixers category were to fix 500 links, we would have them all done - so aim high! Cheers! bd2412 T 02:29, 18 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
