Your "person" vs. "man" edits

edit

Please see WP:SOAPBOX and WP:POINT. I do not think the changes you are making are constructive, and I would encourage you to reconsider your approach. For instance, the edit you made to YouTube broke the template for the Infobox. While it is true all of the "key people" in the YouTube infobox were men, the infobox is set up to recognize the string key_people. Also, your edits to Milk Roundsperson seem to have been unusually disruptive. Please reconsider. --Jaysweet (talk) 20:10, 28 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

You say, "I don't think my edits are causing any real disruption." Even if we assume for a second that your overall position is correct, that statement is provably false. Please take another look at this edit that you made. The template for a company infobox expects the string "key_people", and if you assign a value to "key_people", it will automatically fill in the template accordingly. "key_men" is not recognized by the template, so by changing the string to "key_men," you actually caused the names of the men who were involved in YouTube to be removed from the infobox. If that's not disruption, I don't know what is. --Jaysweet (talk) 15:49, 6 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 17:56, 6 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
